Good morning GPC members.
We wish to advise that powerline Works are scheduled for Monday, the 31st of August. As there are no competitions on the calendar it would be appreciated if members could limit access to the grounds to essential only.

Heavy machinery and construction works to happen, weather permitting . The service providers appreciate your cooperation, this is not intended to inconvenience anyone , the intent is keep members and their Property safe.

Happy Wednesday shooters. There won't be a Practical multigun match this month as our shoot captain is unavailable unfortunately however we will still have our usual Saturday morning service match at 9am, please arrive early to sign in and get yourself ready for the match.

Then Saturday afternoon we'll have our monthly IPSC101 match at 1pm. This shoot is open to any current members of the club. This is a good introduction to the dynamic match of IPSC and a good way to try something that offers shooting from different positions and thinking on your feet. We'd like to thank Ron, Meg and the team for their support and generosity along with ASA for helping make it possible. We're glad they enjoyed coming out for a shoot and hope to see them again soon.

The 1st Saturday of the month meant it was New Shooter Program time. We had 11 participants who had an enjoyable time learning the safety and technique of pistol shooting. It was great to see amongst the group a Mother and Son, Husband and wife along with a Mother, Daughter and Partner proving it is a family friendly sport. It was tremendous to see one participant achieve a 497/500🤯🎉🎉

We look forward to seeing them over the coming weeks joining in at shoots. If you see them make sure you say G'day.

Today we had Community Action Youth Service Gympie join us for some team building. We'd like to thank them for choosing us for their day out. There was plenty of banter, laughs and some impressive targets. It was great to see the smiles on their faces as they shot 22lr, 357Mag and 9mm pistols.

A huge thanks to our club members who volunteered their time to make today possible.

Saturday morning we'll have our monthly Practical Shooting multigun match starting with setup from 8:30am, this match is suitable for members of the club who are licenced and proficient handling their fi****ms and seeking a style of shooting that offers excitement and an element of problem solving. Another successful new shooters course today with 10 new shooters starting their journey with our club. Thank you to our club volunteers who make these days possible. If you see these new faces around the club make sure to say hello and make them feel welcome.

Good evening members, the annual compliance email for our licenced members has just gone out to the member base, please ensure you complete this in a timely manner, if you did not receive the email please email the secretary for assistance.

Thank you very much to the dozen members that were able to give their time this morning for the working Bee. The club has been thoroughly cleaned from the gutters down to the concrete and overgrown shrubbery trimmed with room for atleast 6 car parks made. Many hands definitely made light work and it was all knocked over in under 4hrs. The help was much appreciated 🤙🏻
