Winter mixed netball has started

🏐 WINTER MIXED COMPETITION – ROUND 1 🏐

The wait is over! We are excited to kick off our 10-week Direct Chemist Outlet Gympie Winter Mixed Competition tonight. While we'll all be braving the cold for another evening of netball, we're thrilled to have 18 teams registered and ready to hit the courts!

A huge thank you to our amazing StoreLocal umpires for giving up another evening to officiate our first round. We truly appreciate your time and support—our competition simply couldn't run without you.

NEW TO NETBALL?
Many of our mixed competition players are either new to netball or returning after some time away, so they may not yet be familiar with the rules, positions, or gameplay.

We ask team managers and experienced players to please take a few minutes before the game to explain the following:

Court positions
Basic rules
General game play and etiquette

The first few rounds are all about learning and having fun. Our umpires will be happy to help explain decisions where appropriate, but to ensure games run smoothly, please do not question or dispute umpire decisions during play.

LIVE SCORING
We're excited to be using Netball Connect Live Scoring this season!

The first-listed team on Netball Connect is responsible for collecting the iPad before the game.
Please allow a few extra minutes before your match to sign out the iPad.
Return it to the control desk immediately after your game.

As this is our first week using the system, we'll also have paper score sheets available should we experience any technical issues.

We’re excited to announce that we now have 18 teams registered for our Direct Chemist Outlet Gympie mixed competition! A big thanks to Gabi and the team for coming on board as a sponsor for this competition.

The teams have been divided into two pools for the 10-week competition, with games scheduled at 6:00pm and 7:00pm each week.

The draw will be published soon, so keep an eye out for details.
We’re looking forward to a fantastic season filled with fun, friendly competition, and great sportsmanship. Good luck to all teams!

WELCOME BACK - Junior & Ladies' Competition
We hope everyone has enjoyed the break! Our junior and ladies' competitions resume on Monday, 13 July, and we have just six rounds remaining before finals begin.
Looking forward to seeing everyone back on court, but first, a few important things

FORFEIT MATCHES – Due to player availability, CCC Sunshine & CCC Blue are forfeiting their games on Monday, 13 July

CANTEEN – HOT DOGS – Yummmmmm, please remember we require parents to help in the canteen and parents with players on court 3 are required to help

PARKING - Please DO NOT park in the BWS car park. We appreciate everyone's cooperation in respecting our neighbouring businesses.

JEWELLERY – In accordance with the Official Netball Rules, all jewellery must be removed before taking the court
