Gladstone 🌟 it’s hard to believe we only came here once this season. Montoya hadn’t raced here since the charade in her first year so it was very cool to come back in the lancer and see if she could finally work out turns 1&2. Yet again driving the wheels off it, giving it her absolute all out there and bringing it home in 3rd place!! I know I keep saying it but seriously her progress in the last couple of months has been so much fun to watch. Our last meeting in New Stars and she kept her run of podiums going. Beyond proud! Thanks to our amazing crew of supporters always backing her and helping out. Season recap to come! But for now, Gladstone you were amazing, we froze but it was worth it! Congrats to Millie and Kye on what was a brilliant race up front and special mention to Jaiden for a great battle with Monty making her work for that podium that’s for sure. We are so saddened to hear the passing of our wonderful Pam. A fellow member of the Gympie club, we loved hearing her point of view on issues and how she’d just tell you straight how it was gonna be. The speedway track won’t be the same without her 🥺

Speedway Sedans Australia is saddened to learn of the passing of Pam Franz.

Pam made an extraordinary contribution to our sport over many decades at club, track, state and national levels. A tireless and dedicated volunteer, she served Speedway Sedans in a wide range of roles including stewarding, scrutineering, technical administration and governance.

Her unwavering commitment, knowledge and passion helped shape and strengthen our organisation, leaving a lasting legacy that will continue to benefit the sport for many years to come.

Pam's impact on Speedway Sedans Australia cannot be overstated, and her contribution will forever be woven into the fabric of our sport.

On behalf of the Speedway Sedans Australia community, we extend our sincere condolences to Pam's family, friends and all those whose lives she touched during this difficult time.

🏁 Bundaberg Speedway 🏁 First time for Montoya racing at Bundy and she loved the track. She was a bit wild, Monty couldn’t quite work out the best line at times and would get really loose in the car nearly causing her to spin on multiple occasions. She overdrives the car because she’s so determined to do well but that hurts her in return. Once she learns how to calm it down and adapt to the ever changing track she will feel much better in the car. We had solid heats with a P3, P2 and the a win in heat 3. We had two heats of new stars as there were so many of them which was great to see. The feature was a bit chaotic though, multiple stoppages which meant our race got declared early. It was sad to see what happened to Millie and Kye and we hope they are both ok. You never like to see any juniors in crashes. Monty had a shocking first few laps overdriving it and losing positions. She got back up into 2nd and had a great battle with Jack till it got declared. 2nd place for our girl. A learning night but she had a ball. Big congrats to Jack on his first feature win and awesome to see George in the mighty charade get 3rd 👏🏻👏🏻 well done! Thanks Bundy, we will be back for sure 🙌🏼 a massive thank you to all those that helped, especially Josh who always goes above and beyond to get the setup on point! And a special mention to top star superstar .h014 for giving Monty advice before and after each race on how to get around this track super fast. Been waiting for these shots to come through from Especially the victory lap one cos I was too busy crying/screaming to get a photo 😆 thanks Decky 🙌🏼 I thought it was funny Montoya couldn’t believe how heavy the flag was and when it came time to give the flag back she just dropped it on the ground cos she couldn’t carry it any longer 😂 🤦🏽‍♀️ so I’m sorry to the quad bike guy that had to pick that up, her little arms were exhausted!

🏁Maryborough Speedway will have a special place in our heart forever, the place Montoya got her first ever Feature Win in Junior Sedans!! (and it was the place she scored her first heat win too this season) It definitely wasn’t handed to her, the competition was tough all night and Kye made her work for every lap. They put on a fantastic race, with Kye pushing hard and keeping the pressure on right to the end. To see Montoya stay determined, keep her composure and dig deep when it counted most was amazing to watch. All the hard work and dedication is starting to show. First feature win in the books and one very proud team behind her 🩷🏁👏 Congrats to Kye on 2nd and Jack coming in 3rd. Thanks to the amazing support crew we have at the track and the ones that can’t make it but send texts and messages from home. 🫶🏼 Thank you to a beautiful soul in Shiamber Fountain that chose Montoya as her favourite driver and gifted her a box of donuts 💗 and the volunteer on the quad that goes out of his way to come and see us personally and congratulate Montoya, it truly makes us so proud. Our first feature win!!!!! She drove her absolute butt off to pass for 1 st and hold him off for the win. We are so proud of her.

Back at Maryborough and ready to rock for heat 1.

Maryborough last night we were able to tick off another little goal. 2nd place for our Monty girl and it means so much to us! She had to fight hard for it, the competition was no joke last night with all those girls absolutely killing it out there. Montoya had to battle with a damaged right rear from a lap 1 incident which made the car really loose for her but amazingly she was still able to come through with a podium finish, so proud. Her driving and confidence has improved so much these last few meetings, it’s so nice to see her starting to believe in her ability when she’s been so doubtful of herself. A big congrats to Millie on the win and Peyton on 3rd. Tayla showed immense speed and determination battling for the win but unfortunately spinning resulting in her 5th place and Milla, what an absolute standout, improved so much this meeting, and went the fastest she’s been. YTG! 🩷
