It’s finally here, Canberra friends! 🐾

I’m so excited to share that I’ve partnered with Hall Veterinary Surgery as their trainer and will be launching our brand-new puppy school on Wednesday 29 July at 6:30pm, right here at Hall Vet.

With more than nine years of experience and a commitment to ongoing education, I’ve completely rewritten my puppy class program to reflect what puppies and their people truly need to thrive together.

This is puppy school, reimagined.

We’ll help puppies learn how to explore, recover, communicate and navigate everyday life, while giving their people the knowledge and practical skills to support them as they grow into well-rounded dogs.

Your puppy is only a puppy once. Puppy school should be about more than teaching a handful of cues, it should help build the foundations for the dog they’ll become and the life you’ll share together.

When a puppy has learned how to learn, can be mentally in the room, and is growing in confidence and resilience, teaching the “obedience” skills becomes the easy part.

Remember Dory?

Well when I first met Dory, Dory didn’t know how to dog. She had never learnt how to play.

Before she found her way into Linda’s heart and home, Dory’s only imposed purpose was to produce puppies.

This video of her playing is not one to take for granted.

Little by a lot, we had to help Dory learn how to play. The strength in her mouth and her ability to grip were very limited, so we worked with her to build that up - helping her learn how to hold onto a toy, and eventually, how to tug.

Look at her now. You go girl! 💪

🚧 Sniff ‘n Go: School Out of Bounds Edition! 🎒

**Bad boy energy activated...** 😎🐾

Alana and I unleashed 17 keen noses on a mission to investigate all those places you’re *definitely* not supposed to go. From forgotten nooks to water tanks, the out of bounds area was fair game for this crew of too cool for school scent seekers. 🕵️🐶

There was plenty of sniffing, problem-solving, tail wagging, and those satisfying “Ah-ha, found it!” moments that make these events so much fun for us to put on.

A huge thanks to everyone who joined us for another Sniff ‘n Go. We love seeing each dog tackle each challenge in their own unique, bad boy way.

Until the next adventure... who knows where we’ll let them roam next? 😏🐾

We met with Al and Taco this week for our first assistance training session and were greeted with a heartwarming story and a whole lot of stuffed caterpillars.

Apparently, every time Al and Taco head off on a road trip, any Kmart Australia they pass requires a quick detour. And every single time, without fail, Taco carefully selects a caterpillar to add to his collection. 🥹

A bad moment does not make a bad day.
Inconveniences in your day do not determine the outcome of it altogether. 🤍🐾
