Gunnedah Bowling Club will be hosting a group of 22 travelling bowlers from the Real Estate Bowlers group on Monday afternoon starting at 1.30pm. Their is a nomination sheet on the notice board if you would like to come along and enjoy a great afternoon of social bowls with the visiting group. Names to be in by 1.00pm. Action in the Rocky Morgan Consistency Singles this week saw the last 2 back marker's eliminated front the event. Barry Robbins and Keith Hubbard turned on epic clash with Barry scoring a very narrow win 150 to 147. Lea Martin scored a very memorable win over Jake Martin playing outstanding bowls to win 150 to 118. Tommy Bartman defeated Phil Donnelly 150 to 119.

Peter Baker and Buck Fordham defeated Jason Williams and Clem Choice 18 to 16.
Brian Woods, Lou Flett and Steve Martin defeated Kristy McIlveen, Tom Foy and Jeff Palmer 15 to 9.

A travelling group from the Retired Real Estate Agents Bowlers will be playing at the club on this Monday 21st at 1.00pm. It would be great if we can get as many locals as possible to come and join in a great afternoon of social bowls with the visiting group. A nomination sheet will be on the board on Friday afternoon, names to be in by 12.30 for a 1.00pm start.

A reminder that the funeral service for Rocky Morgan will be held this Friday from 2.00PM at the Edelyn Chapel, Wondobah Cemetery. The family has requested bowlers attending wear their club shirt.

The Rocky Morgan Consistency Singles continued this week with Tommy Bartman defeating Kristy McIlveen 150 to 118. In second round matches Lee Martin defeated Karrin Lane 150 to 104. Keith Hubbard came out on top in the battle of the back markers winning 150 to 118 over Caleb Cameron. Freddy Pryor was in good form defeating Mick Hull 150 to 118. Jake Martin and John Clark had a marathon match that stretched over 33 ends with Jake winning 150 to 146 to progress to the next round.

Gunnedah Bowling Club held a minute's silence in memory of Rocky Morgan before the commencement of play on Sunday morning and in a further sign of respect the Consistency Singles has been named in Rocky's honour.

The first round matches in the Rocky Morgan Consistency Singles were held on the weekend with players enjoying perfect conditions.

Keith Hubbard defeated Jason Williams 150 to 127.
Barry Robbins defeated Patrina Marshall 150 to 100.
Aliza Hubbard 150 defeated Jason Wheeler 150 to 118.
Brian Woods defeated Masen Hubbard 150 to 100.
Mick Hull defeated Rick McKenzie 150 to 109.
Lea Martin defeated Steve Martin 150 to 132.

It is with profound sadness Gunnedah Bowling Club wishes to inform our members of the unexpected and sudden passing of Rocky Morgan. Rocky was a hugely popular member of our club and he will be greatly missed. Everyone who played with or against Rocky recognised his wonderful ability and outstanding sportsmanship. Rocky was a hugely positive personality and he actively encouraged everyone to play to the best of their ability. Rocky had a fantastic sense of humour and always had a smile on his face. Our club will not be the same without our little mate. Gunnedah Bowling Club offers our sincere and deepest condolences to the family and friends of Rocky Morgan. RIP Rocky
