HIGH PROTEIN CHICKEN PESTO PASTA 🍝
Fairly easy almost no cooking needed… almost! You just have to roast your pumpkin and boil your pasta obvi 😅
An easy lunch idea that’s high in protein as well as fibre with a nice 9.4g per serve! Quick to throw together and delicious cold!
SWIPE for the ingredients (makes 4 serves) & SAVE to try it if you like! 😍
You could also add more veggies to this or take the chicken out if you like!

CLIENT TRANSFORMATION & TESTIMONIAL ‼️
So incredibly proud of my gorgeous client Sam and her progress both physically and arguably the most important one that you can’t necessarily see.. the habits dropped and new ones created, the shift in mindset and overall outlook!
When Sam first approached me she said she had a habit of starting and stopping, waiting for the next spike in motivation. We know that approach leads us nowhere and ultimately feeling stuck with little to no progress. ☹️
This is where having a coach has truely helped change the game. We set small goals and we focus on consistency over the long run! We aren’t looking for a quick fix, we are looking to make sustainable transformations! 💫
TESTIMONIAL;
“Since I started training with Bell over a year ago, my life has completely changed.
In the beginning, I was self-conscious and felt uncomfortable training in the gym. Bell’s holistic approach to training helped me build confidence and mental fortitude toward making training a priority in my life. With Bell, there is no judgement, and you always feel like there is someone in your corner cheering you on.
On top of her extensive knowledge about fitness and training, she shares in your personal development and genuinely gets satisfaction from helping you achieve your goals.
Bell has helped me recover from injuries, build stamina and lose weight. I couldn’t be more grateful to Bell, and am so thankful to have had her support in becoming a healthier and happier person.
I couldn’t recommend Bell enough!”

EGG WHITE FRENCH TOAST 🍞🍓
A classic favourite of mine, I always come back! A super easy breakkie idea that you can obviously dress to suit your preferences!
For the 3 slices alone the macros are 35C 4F 27P a total of 278KCALS. You then have quite some room to play with when it comes to toppings!
PB? Strawbs? Nutella? Syrup? Heck I’m a sucker for bacon and syrup!
🔑 The key to keeping the calories down and the protein high in this one is selecting Country Split Bread (you can find this at Woolies!) and Egg whites!
SAVE this post and if you try out egg white French toast tag me! 😍❤️🔥

Lifting weights makes you bulky?
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
A common misconception that I can’t believe we still have to address. 🤦🏽♀️
It's true that lifting heavy will promote hypertrophy in muscles leading to a size increase. However, the idea that it leads to a bulky look is quite untrue.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I believe training hard, lifting heavy and building muscle mass leads to body recomposition, so you in fact create shape… definition… and sexiness 👏🏼

WHY PROTEIN IS GOOD FOR WEIGHT LOSS‼️
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Protein isn’t just good for muscle gain, it’s also a great tool for weight loss. Why?👇🏼
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⬆️ Increases your energy expenditure! (20-30% of protein calories are burned during digestion via thermic effect.)
⬇️ Reduces levels of hunger by increasing the hormone, leptin.
⬆️ Increases levels of satiety/ fullness!
⬆️ Increases your lean muscle mass so aids in fat loss as you burn more calories during your workouts/ activity when you have more muscle! 💪🏼🔥
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So how much protein should you aim for?
- As sedentary adult: 0.8g/kg of body weight
- As an adult that trains regularly: 1.2-1.6g/kg
- As an adult wanting to build muscle mass: 1.6-2.2/kg
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It’s important to not reduce intake of carbs and fats in place of protein, as these are both important to overall health and exercise performance.

I always like to start my day with intention. What do you do to kickstart your day?⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
As you've probably seen on my stories im v active, i try include either an early workout or walk.. or both, a sunrise (a great time for breath work & some gratitudes), a swim (if i can), and in my diary i set my daily to-do's and organise them in level of importance.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
I find myself essentially completing gratitudes, 3-5 must do's and 3-5 get to-do's and think if everyone else implemented some sort of version of this into their lives, whether it be at the start of the day or the end, they'd thrive!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
To start out, try this:⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨ Write out things you are grateful for in your life⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨ Write out the things you must complete today⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
✨ Write out the things you get to enjoy today ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
It’s simple, effective and puts me in the mindset to be grateful for everything I have going on in my life, focuses me on the tasks I must complete and gives me something to look forward to also. ⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
So what do you do to start your day? Other than logging into the Bfitness Personal Training app and checking what workout you've got to complete today! 😉

Should you train MORE over Christmas/ NYE?🤷🏻♀️
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
You might think that training excessively over xmas and the festive season in general will make up for all the ‘bad foods’ you eat and alcohol you drink.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Truth is, it WONT and that it won’t also DOESN’T MATTER.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Having the mindset of “I have to train more because I’m eating more” is unhealthy, unrealistic and it will in most cases result in feelings of guilt when you ultimately do eat more than normal, drink more than normal or have foods that you wouldn’t have normally.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Ultimately above all, you want to be healthy, to move regularly/ consistently (doing whatever form of fitness you enjoy), you want to look good, and to feel good (mentally & physically). You want to be able to have/ do all those and eat foods you enjoy and delight in a drink at a social gatherings without feelings of guilt/ shame or that you’ve ruined your progress.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
The key is to stay/keep ✨consistent✨ with your training, making sure you’re still getting your steps but not going above and overboard.
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
Christmas is a time to spend with family, friends and loved ones, doing what makes you happy. It’s only a few days and won’t derail all progress. Realistically it’s a healthy mental break to relax and do/ eat what you want!
⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀⠀
If you’re worried, my advice is just don’t be a di****ad and stop moving/ all exercise over the next couple days and if you’re full don’t keep trying to eat more and more. Listen to your belly 😂
