🎄 We know many of you have hungry pets that need crickets over the holidays, so we’re doing our best to stay open as much as possible this year and support our amazing customers!

📦 Holiday Shipping Schedule
We’ll be sending out orders on Mondays only for 3 weeks over Christmas:
• Monday 22nd December
• Monday 29th December
• Monday 5th January

Please keep in mind that Australia Post is often very busy during the Christmas period, and delays are more likely. If you choose to have an order sent on the 22nd or 29th, we can only honour our live cricket guarantee for orders that arrive on or before the Wednesday of that week (24th and 31st).
Orders sent on Monday 5th January will be covered by our usual live cricket guarantee, meaning if there's an issue, we’ll replace or refund as normal.

We hope everyone had a fantastic Easter and got lots of yummy eggs from the Easter Bunny! Speaking of eggs, this is what a cricket egg looks like under a microscope 😲 the black dot is its eye!

Did you know Cricket poo is an excellent fertiliser, just take a look at some (there is about 50 more) of the zucchinis harvested from our garden this year!

Cricket poo is high in nutrients such as nitrogen, phosphorus, potassium and others such as calcium, iron, magnesium, sodium and more. We use cricket poo on our lawn, flower beds and mixed into the soil when we plant trees and veggies and have more jumbo sized fruit and veggies than we know what to do with.

🦗 An update on what’s been happening at Cricket King!

It’s been a rough few months for us at Cricket King as we continue to work between the chaos of millions of crickets and having some sort of order.

We started out the year with a bang, sending out record amounts of crickets after Christmas and then had to make everything unavailable after our fail safe on our incubator failed 🤦🏼‍♀️ and majority of our eggs died. Things were just picking up again when for some reason our adult crickets decided to lay next to no eggs for a couple of weeks which meant we had to set everything to unavailable again 😭. Things are back under control but unfortunately it takes a while for everything to grow through to the right sizes as well as ensuring you have enough stock to breed which is why we are slowly setting sizes to be available again.

We aim to have a consistent, reliable supply of healthy crickets for our customers so we have been pretty stressed about disappointing you all but unfortunately when working with living things, it’s unpredictable and constantly evolving and we have to continuously find ways to work with that. We hope to have all of our sizes available again in the coming weeks and get back to filling your pets bellies.

Christmas is just around the corner! Our last day to send out orders this year will be Tuesday 17th December and we will reopen again on Tuesday 7th January. Any orders we receive while we are closed will be held and sent out when we reopen.

Take a look at our simple tips on what to do when you get your crickets in winter. Remember the crickets sit in the cold for a night or two on their way to you so they may look dormant when you get them. Take them out of their packaging, pop them somewhere warm as soon as possible and give them some fresh food and water.
