When Ellen Ryan wrote Bowling history in Birmingham at the Commonwealth Games by becoming the first ever Gold medal winner in the sport for Australia 🇦🇺, The Goulburn Railway Bowling Club will rightly feel especially proud.

It was at the Club over fifteen years ago that she was first introduced to the sport by her Uncle. Always a prodigious talent, the Club went on to help Ellen’s progress by providing her with a Wyong Leagues Group Sporting Scholarship several years later.

Goulburn Railway Bowling Club Manager Scott Cooper states “We couldn’t be prouder of Ellen, she is a great young lady who has worked incredibly hard to reach the very top of her sport, here at the Bowlo we have enjoyed watching her go from one success to another. We will definitely be raising our glasses to a very special achievement by an even more special person… well done Ellen” 💫
