It's been an amazing year racing the Corolla and we've learnt a lot about the car along the way.
This weekend, we're going into the final round not only as class leader by 6 points over Chris Hafner in the Lanos but also as series leader over Jacob Wolf in his N15 Pulsar by a mere 1 point.
Teamed with Andy Clarkson as my co-driver for this one as Jordan Mansell is away, we have our fingers crossed for a good run this weekend.

We've been a lot quiet what with Covid and Lockdown etc. So here's a bit of an update.
Well so far 2022 has been a great year. Starting with Round 1 of Small Car Cup. With Lachlan Ward in our N15 Pulsar taking 3rd outright for the day and new team member Pat Honer won everything in class B with our 323 Mazda.
Pat liked the car so much, he bought it and has started his own team. Congratulations Pat.π₯
It was onto the NSW 6 hour after that where I ran our Silver N15 Pulsar. My first time in the car as a race car and I must say we did a pretty good job building this one although I would have liked a higher ride height for the front.
This year the 6 hour threw everything at us with a few things on Saturday that ended with a blown motor for our team mate Andy. Well Andy jumped in to share the Pulsar with me and did a great job. Everyone had written us of being down to only 2 out of our usual 4 cars and starting from position 32 on the grid but we didn't give in.
We didn't get our 4th win but we did come home 4th outright with the top 5 teams covered by only .8 of a point. So close yet so far. πππ
On the 3/th April we had the SCCR 1hour endurance race. Andy was teamed with our mate Mark Thompson in the N15 Pulsar with my son Jordan and myself back in our '86 Corolla Hot Hatch.
Mark who had never raced a front wheel drive and had never been on track at PWC before qualified the teams lead car in P6 while I qualified the Corolla with its quickest lap to date in P8. (Please read the race wrap at Small Car Cup page on Facebook.
After leading almost all the way, Mark and Andy came home 2nd outright and 2nd in class C. Jordan and I won class A and after a race long battle with some of the class B and Class C cars we finished 7th outright and only 2 laps down on the quick guys up front.
Pat Honer and Shannon Mortlock in the DTM built Mazda actually lead the early part of the race finishing 4th outright and won class B. So it was an excellent day for Drivetek Motorsport and cars built and prepped by us.
A great start to the year with plenty more motorsport to come.

They shall grow not old
As we that are left grow old
Age shall not weary them
Nor the years condemn
At the going down of the sun
And in the morning
We will remember them.
LEST WE FORGET.

Team DTM (Drivetek Motorsport) are pleased to welcome Patrick Honer to our race team for the 2022 season and hopefully beyond.
Patrick is taking on the driving duties in our Mazda 323 (with the bosses #18 on the door for this round) and he has his eye firmly set on the class B win.
Lachlan Ward is once again in our class C #17 Nissan Pulsar. Lachlan has a full race calendar this year including some interstate rounds.
We are hoping that he doesn't miss any SCCR rounds with his other commitments.

Our DTM Mini Cooper was a little off the pace at round 1. Luckily we get to drop a few rounds in this championship. Looking forward to round 2 this Friday.
