Reminiscing the early days of Boating Scene.

Do you remember this old girl? 🛻
You would have to be one of our most loyal customers just like this trusty Hilux and may need a fresh motor on your boat by now 😋

🔧 Following on from Tuesday’s post…

This is the cylinder head, showing a badly corroded head bolt.

The corrosion reduced the bolt’s clamping force, compromising the seal & allowing water to enter.

A good example of how corrosion can cause serious internal engine damage, even while the boat is sitting unused in the garage.

Parked up doesn’t mean protected!🧂 🌊🧂

⚠️ BEEN SITTING IN THE GARAGE ALL WINTER?

We’ve had a few outboards through the workshop lately showing serious corrosion & salt build-up/blockages, this one’s a cracker. 😳

Just because the boat hasn’t been used over winter doesn’t mean nothing’s happening.
Salt deposits & corrosion left behind from last season?

The boating season is nearly here… is your outboard ready?
