I haven’t shared much about this publicly, as I never really felt called to.

But our family has had a pretty turbulent start to the year.

As a husband and father, all you want is for your family to be healthy and happy. When that suddenly feels uncertain, and you’re faced with some very real fears around the people you love most, it stretches you in ways you never thought possible.

The photos in this post are a reflection of both sides of that journey. Some represent the challenges, uncertainty and difficult moments. Others represent the relief, gratitude and thriving that has come on the other side.

Thankfully, we recently received the best possible news for both Katrice and Star, and for that we are incredibly grateful.

The whole experience made me reflect on something.

Over the past few months, I haven’t slept much, felt broken at times, and often didn’t know where to turn. But I knew I needed a clear mind.

So I kept doing the basics.

I trained, even if it was lighter than usual. I kept my nutrition consistent. I focused on what I could control when so much felt outside of my control.

Not because it was easy.

Because my family needed the best version of me.

I’ve noticed that many people respond to stress differently. They stop exercising, go completely off track with food, or lean on habits that make them feel better in the moment but leave them worse off in the long run.

My point is this:

Stress is always going to be there.

Health isn’t something that only matters when life is good. Health is the foundation that helps carry you through when life gets hard.

So who are you when you’re stressed?

Do you let stress lower your standards, or do you raise them?

Just some reflections.

It’s nice to have life back on track. 🙏🏼

15 years in the fitness industry, and I still love what I do.

This image captures it well.

After working with thousands of clients, here’s what I know to be true:
