here's the thing

most people have felt like they have been in this cycle for years...

and I used to be here to!

until I learnt that you can drive results FAST

and you can sustain them

i used to make fat loss sustainable

like why the hell would anyone want to make a deficit sustainable

but every week or every month something would happen

until i recognised that gosh this is just life

life is always happening

and I realised I had my priorities backwards

now i spend 9% of my year in a deficit (if i need to)

and the rest enjoying life

sustaining my progress

and the best part if i ever do a deficit im not getting to the same place each time

i'm upgrading a new version of my body

enjoying food

not stressing

and the goal

how can i eat as much as possible while keeping my defined stomach πŸ₯Ή

the difference 5 weeks can make

how i took my core from this to this

for years i did everything """"right""""

ab circuits. situps till it burned. an ab day every week

barely anything to show for it (i mean i was fit)

here's what nobody told me

your abs are a muscle. same as your glutes

you don't grow glutes with bodyweight bridges

so why would crunches create a defined stomach

i had to train my core heavy

5 to 8 reps. proper rest

and 2 to 3 times a week, not one """"ab day""""

but you can build your core perfectly

and still never see it if it's buried under fat that won't shift

that was me.

i kept trying to cut straight away

eating less and less, scale stuck, still soft

so i did it backwards on purpose

i rebuilt my metabolism first

then i cut

and because my maintenance was so high, the deficit was barely a deficit

the fat came off and the core i'd built finally showed

this isn't a discipline problem

it's the wrong strategy

build it and expose it

one of the easiest calorie saves nobody talks about

if you're cooking with oil straight from the bottle

you are pouring in anywhere from 100 to 300 calories per meal

without even thinking about it

swap to a non stick pan
or a spray bottle with your oil

same food
same taste
same cooking

just without the hidden calories eating into your deficit

the goal is to save your calories for actual food that fills you up

not pour them down the drain before you've even eaten

its so much more the aestetics

its the health

its the pain reduced

and heres the thing

it's not just as simple as having a rest day

most people keep their bodies in recovery debt for way to long

in fact those training 5 or 6 days a week are the ones we see it most with

working against their body not with it

you can still train hard but it's even more important to train right

and if taking a rest or recovery in you mind challenges you

well understand that the 23 hours in between your session is so god damn important

the hour session needs to be programmed right,

the right amount volume across the week and in each session

it's not just slapping together a good workout

in fact even the order in which you do exercises matters
