photo shoot rule: if there’s no pizza I’m not coming
Respectfully, school hours are short - so I’m not wasting precious time cleaning all day when I need to be filming 💅
IYKYK. There is never enough time in the day to clean up the kids mess, the dishes and all of the things before filming 💅

I’m calling this my reverse PB.
51km. Over 9 hours moving. Zero speed goals for once, unlike when I enter a Half Marathon where I’m chasing a PB..
I’m just impressed that I kept moving for 50km+ and over 9 hours because even though I consider myself fairly fit and active this was next-level challenging for me.
I definitely didn’t train like most people would (or should) I did a handful of 3-hour trail runs home on the GC, one 25km/3hr Blue Mountains run and a plenty of Wednesday run group sessions.
After this weekend I’m in complete awe of people who train relentlessly for events like this.
I was actually feeling pretty good up until around the 30km mark… my support met me at both checkpoints with my Vegemite sandwiches and snacks.then came two hours of nonstop downhill and my right knee decided it wanted no part in this experience 🥲
The final 20km became less about running and more about distracting myself from the pain and cursing every down-hill.
Also, the single trail sections had a few conga lines which were definitely welcomed but I would have preferred these towards the end when I needed the rest.
Future notes if crazy me decides to do anything remotely like this again:
Toe socks = MVP
Remove acrylic toenails next time
Cutting a toe hole in my shoe was a win
What a bloody humbling time that was.
