Growing up, I cared way too much about what people thought of me.

It took me years to unlearn that.

So when my kids wanted to bust out a mic on the sidewalk and perform — I was all for it.

The music is secondary. The real lesson is teaching them not to give a damn what anyone else thinks while they do it.

Took me years to unlearn this one.

I used to believe my worth was tied to what I built, the business, the money, the output.

Good month, good man. Bad month, piece of s**t.
Not anymore. My kids don’t love me more on a good month. My worth isn’t something I earn. It’s something I already have.

Let that sit with you: is your worth still being defined by your success?

Working toward a vision only you can see takes courage.

People around you won’t see it. They don’t have to.
They’ll call you delirious. Obsessive. Crazy.

Not because they’re wrong to be confused - it’s because from where they’re standing, all they see is the gap between where you are and where you’re going. They can’t see what you see. That’s not a flaw in them. It’s just not their vision to carry.

You don’t need them to see it. You need to see it.

Then you put in the work. The discipline. The focus.

Every single day, whether anyone’s watching or not.

That’s the price of building something real.

Head up. Get to work.

I just kept choosing calm.

Tell me I’m not the only husband who’s been here.

Never in my wildest dreams did I think I’d become a rapper.

But here we are.

So don’t let anyone - especially yourself - tell you what you can or can’t become.

Get uncomfortable.

Take action.

Suck at it.

Practice.

Get better.

Then keep going.

That’s the formula.

Get after it.

Maybe this sign made sense in the ‘70s… but it’s 2026.

Who’s actually blazing up in the gym? Has anyone seen this happen?

When I plant a tree, it’s about a metre high.

The crazy thing is…

Some of these trees could live for hundreds of years.

There’s something that gets activated in me when I think about that.

Imagining my great-grandchildren one day sitting beneath a tree I planted today.

It makes me think about the other things I’m planting too…

My children.

My music.

My community.

Conversations.

Business.

It reminds me that some of the most meaningful things we build…

Take time.

There’s something beautiful about creating things that outlive you..

What are you planting today that your future self—or future generations—will one day be grateful for?

You don’t answer the call alone.

Sure… the decision is yours.

But having people around you who believe in you…

Challenge you.

Celebrate you.

Support you when s**t hits the fan.

Changes everything.

That’s the power of community.

I don’t know about you…

But I’m inspired by people who hear the call…

And have the courage to answer it.

Those are my people. ❤️

Ten years prior to this I was overcoming the fear of talking to small groups of people (3-10 ppl)

Not that adrenalin wasn’t present at this time here on the stage - it was - I was packing darkies.

Yet, for me it’s undeniable proof that when you lean into and aren’t ruled by your fear that anything truly is possible.
