So lovely,l to have such a large crew that even with so many unavailable and/or unaware 😂, that we still had all the spots covered!
Quite the morning; we had one pacer (who shall remain nameless) who was too fast, and another who preferred not to pace after all because she was a bit flat - and ended up running the right time!!
We oversaw one of the longest parkruns with a ln elderly parkrun first timer getting around in longer than the usual - but the overwhelming sentiment was ‘how good’ that they were out there getting it done ✅ The Run Director may be fired for having a briefing too brief and getting us away at 7.00!
We looked outstanding in our shirts and I managed to connect many of you who I hadn’t yet seen, with your shirts! I hope you’re all happy with them!
Well done and thank you for representing our club so magnificently, good job to our runners ticking off their big runs!
Some of you I will see tomorrow at the Coastal Recce Run and others at the Trail Info night at Wild Earth on Monday - or training Tuesday - regardless, pleasure to be part of the Run Central team!

Your home away from home over the weekend! Once again we met up with Travis Ireland from Run the World and Justin from MultiSport Gold to snare a good spot! You’ll find us all roadside near the chapel and the dive shop, just 400m from the finish (and many of your start lines)! Between the 3 tents ⛺️ I’m sure someone will be there and your gear can be left there if you wish or just come and cheer!
We met at 4am and it was lucky we did because the roadside was full shortly thereafter!!

The club has been on a bit of an upswing of late, with some fresh faces, a regular photographer and poster (thanks Tammy Taylor) & increased intensity and intent at training. And the wonderful events of this weekend emphasised just how healthy a position the club is in (and how blessed I feel).
Volunteers aplenty for parkrun, people looking resplendent in their kit, a very respectful (albeit technologically challenged acknowledgement of Anzac Day - thanks Peter Sinfield) and delicious cookies - some from members who couldn’t even be there on the day! Appearances by those waylaid by health and injury, support of local business post parkrun with a delightful mix of members old and new!
And then today we had runners in the forest and on the roads, cheering 📣 and even pacing (thanks to the company Hud Garrod), and encouraging each other out there.
I’ve just posted a birthday bash and as is oft the case - no day and time will suit us all, but it would be great to see a good turnout. But that’s the beauty of the group at the moment - whether you’re at every session or none, the sense of connection, support, belonging and positivity is wonderful to be part of . Thank you for being part of Run Central!!

You all know him or of him; first to lend a hand, volunteer, give his time, money and even blood 🩸(he’s a donor) - but right now he needs us to get him back out there working! If you can give a little please do!

Shout out to members and alumni across the weekend!
Across the ditch Pete Begley, Pete Smith and Leah Begley took on the Old Ghost 👻 Road Ultra; beautiful point to point, 85k trail run!
We had a bunch of members who also partake in Run The World rocking the merch and popping up in photos to help raise some 💰
Lots of Run Central peeps out on the trails on Sunday, some doing their hiking prep, others just out for the weekly forest 🌳fix!
Meanwhile, up at Raby Bay; Sharyn Sutton and Jessie Ouw were powering through a triathlon onto a podium; Jess winner 🥇 in her age group and Sharyn a gallant 🥈!
Welll done all!
