The funny thing about running, you don't really notice what it gives you until it disappears 🀨

βœ”οΈ The clearer mind
βœ”οΈ The better sleep
βœ”οΈ The patience
βœ”οΈ The confidence

And the feeling that, whatever today throws at you, you'll probably be okay.

Then an injury arrives 😑 and suddenly you realise, running wasn't taking time away from your life, it was helping you show up for it.

πŸ‘‡ What does running help you with? Let us know in the comments

Consistency isn't built by never missing a run, instead it's built by making smart decisions.

1️⃣ Choosing the pace you can recover from.
2️⃣ Taking the rest day when you need it.
3️⃣ Adjusting the plan instead of forcing it.

Running smarter isn't about doing less, it's about doing what helps you keep showing up.

When was the last time you listened to your body?

The best running advice you can ever received

"Take care of the body that lets you run."

Simple.
Practical.
Easy to forget.

Our members remind us every day that running isn't just about the next race that you are lining up for, it's about making sure there can be another one.

Running doesn't change who you are.

It reminds you who you are.

Patient. Capable. Resilient. Calm.

You don't become stronger because you ran.

You remember that strength was already there.

That's why injury feels so unsettling.

Not because you've lost your fitness.

Because you've temporarily lost one of the places where you reconnect with yourself.

πŸ‘‡ Has running helped shape the person you've become? Tell us how.

Many runners wear pain like its proof they're committed.

But there's a difference between training discomfort and pain that's asking for your attention.

Learning that difference could save weeks or months on the sidelines and running smarter isn't about pushing through everything.

It's about knowing what deserves respect. Do you know the difference?

You can sleep 8 hours a night and still be building injury risk.

New research tracking 339 runners over 26 weeks found it wasn't how much they slept that predicted injury β€” it was how well. Every point drop in sleep quality raised injury risk by 36%.

Here's the thing: most runners treat sleep as background noise. Something that either happens or doesn't. But your body does its repair work while you're out β€” rebuilding tissue, consolidating the adaptations from your last session. Poor-quality sleep means you're stacking training load on a system that hasn't finished recovering from the last one.

This is exactly why we don't just program the strength work β€” we look at the whole picture that makes it stick. Resilience isn't only what you do in the session. It's what your body can actually absorb and adapt to around it.

If your sleep's been rubbish lately, that ni**le that "came out of nowhere" might not be so random after all.

One of our members recently said,

"Crossing the finish line was great... but being healthy enough and able to stand on the start line meant even more."

That's something we hear often because after injury, priorities change. Its not the PB or the next big juicy audatious goal, running itself becomes the victory.

Have you ever looked at success differently after an injury?

Faster runners don't just produce more power. They transfer it better.

Every time your foot hits the ground, your body has a split second to absorb force and send it back into the next stride. The more efficiently you can do that, the smoother and faster running becomes.

That's why improving movement patterns can unlock performance gains that extra kilometres can't.

The best runners think differently.

They don't ask, "How much can I get away with?". They ask, "What helps me keep running?"

It's a subtle shift. But it changes everything.

Of everything runners obsess over β€” shoes, stretching, foam rolling β€” strength training twice a week has the strongest evidence behind it, cutting overuse injury risk by roughly half.

Because running longevity is built through thousands of small decisions and consistency, not one perfect training block.

πŸ‘‡ What's one habit that's helped you stay injury-free?

16/08/2026

Many runners judge a session by how exhausted they feel afterwards.

But easy runs have a job to do.

I'm sure you've read all about the zone 2 training and how it helps to build your aerobic fitness, improve recovery and prepare you for harder sessions.

The hardest part is remembering the benefits while the run is happening and staying on course. Running slower isn't a sign you're losing fitness, sometimes it's exactly what's helping you improve.
