๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿค๐Ÿ’› What an incredible Nationals for Abbie! ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿค๐Ÿ’™

Competing at just her second Australian Championships, Abbie took on an enormous challenge this year by competing in two events, and what a fantastic job she did!

In Preliminary Ladies Free Skating, Abbie delivered a beautiful performance to become Australian Champion, taking home the gold medal in a strong field of 15 skaters. What an incredible achievement!

She also stepped up into Open Short Program, a class filled with talented skaters, many several years older and more experienced. Finishing 8th out of 11, Abbie was just 0.01 points away from 7th place, showing just how incredibly close the competition was.

This event wasnโ€™t about results, it was about gaining experience, challenging herself, and stepping outside her comfort zone. It certainly wasnโ€™t an easy day either. With both events scheduled on the same day, unexpected circumstances meant Abbie had to complete a second warm-up after already being tired, making an already demanding competition even tougher. Despite everything, she remained determined, composed, and gave it her all.

We couldnโ€™t be prouder of Abbie. Her dedication, work ethic, and willingness to challenge herself continue to impress us every single day. Watching her growth over the past year has been incredible, and we know this is only the beginning.

Congratulations, Abbie, on an amazing Nationals. Everyone at Gold Coast Roller Sports is so proud of everything youโ€™ve achieved. We canโ€™t wait to see what the next six months bring and what youโ€™ll accomplish in 2027.

๐Ÿ’™ The future is incredibly bright! ๐Ÿ›ผโœจ

๐Ÿ’™๐Ÿค๐Ÿ’› What an incredible Nationals for Ida! ๐Ÿ’›๐Ÿค๐Ÿ’™

Stepping into Junior International for the very first time is no small feat, and Ida rose to the challenge with determination, confidence, and grace.

She delivered a fantastic Short Program, earning 2nd place after a strong and confident skate. The Long Program was fiercely contested, with the leaderboard changing right until the very end. In such an incredibly close field, just one small slip saw Ida finish 4th, with only 1.2 points separating the placings.

Our focus leading into these Championships wasnโ€™t medals, it was achieving clean, solid jumps, improved body control, and skating with confidence. Ida absolutely delivered. She achieved personal best scores for the year and produced the strongest performances weโ€™ve seen from her all season.

At the end of the day, success isnโ€™t just measured by the podium. Itโ€™s about improving, challenging yourself, and enjoying every moment on the floor. Ida did exactly that, and she should be incredibly proud of everything she accomplished this week.

From everyone at Gold Coast Roller Sports, congratulations, Ida. Your hard work, dedication, and resilience continue to inspire us all. We canโ€™t wait to see what the next season brings.

๐Ÿ’™ Bring on 2027! ๐Ÿ›ผโœจ
