🥋JAPAN TRIP 2026 🇯🇵

Our yearly Japan trip was, as expected, AMAZING!

This year 9 of our Goshukan members made the journey to the Seiwakai Training Camp in Omagari, Japan. It was the standard 6 days of training, followed by 2 days in Yokohama for the JKF Goju Kai Seminars and grading, and ended up with the 52nd All Japan JKF Gojukai Championships.

👏Special mention to 2 of our team members who made it to the finals (Top 8) in the Mens 50+ Yrs Kata event.

A huge thank you to Tom Starling Shihan, 8th Dan, for sharing his knowledge and experience with us at Sunday’s seminar.

Shihan Tom took us through a great range of practical techniques, including standing wrist locks, pain-compliance methods and off-balancing techniques all delivered with plenty of detail, insight and good humour.

Everyone thoroughly enjoyed the session, and it was fantastic to see martial artists from different styles coming together to learn, train and explore different principles and applications.

🙏 Thank you again, Tom Shihan, for giving us your time and sharing your many years of martial arts knowledge with us. It was a privilege to have you on the mat!
