Bond University Triathlon Club (“BUTC”) has been established by Bond University Sports to develo
BUTC forms part of Bond University Sport and the Club is working collaboratively with Triathlon Australia to establish itself as Australia's leading high performance Triathlon club. Triathlon Australia’s High Performance Coach Dan Atkins is the Club's Program Advisor. The Club will serve to attract developing high performance and professional Triathletes both here in Australia and internationally.
The Club will also develop squads for talented, developing young junior triathletes. Bond University is renowned for its Elite Sport Program (BESP) allowing for High Performance athletes across a number of sports balance study and sport. Training facilities include a purpose-built high performance training facility complete with altitude training room, recovery centre, swimming pool (indoor 25m and outdoor 50m on main campus), first class strength and conditioning gym. Bond University's Health Sciences program is leading the way in sports science with research and graduate opportunities in Exercise and Sports Science, Physiotherapy, Sports Management, Nutrition and Dietetic Practice. BUTC high performance squads will develop through the contributions and access of Bond University's Health Science research and academic programs.
