Congratulations to Mia Le Poidevin on being accepted into the prestigious Joffrey Trainee Ballet Program during her very first week at the summer intensive!

Mia is currently attending the program in New York City on scholarship, making this achievement even more special. Being selected for the trainee program after just one week is a testament to her exceptional talent, dedication, and years of hard work.

At Academy of Dance Excellence, we are committed to developing technically accomplished, artistic, and healthy dancers through evidence-informed training practices.

Our philosophy is grounded in current dance science research, recognising that sustainable excellence is achieved through progressive training, injury prevention, and the holistic development of every student. To support this approach, our dancers have access to an integrated performance support team, including in-house clinical Pilates, physiotherapy, and strength and conditioning, helping them develop efficient movement patterns, build resilience, and train safely throughout every stage of their development.

Alongside technical excellence, we place equal importance on nurturing resilient, confident young people. We believe dancers should be valued as humans first, creating an environment where physical health, psychological wellbeing, and ethical teaching practices are central to every training decision.

From Tiny Tots (1.5 years) through to our Pre-Professional Program, Academy of Dance Excellence is proud to be one of the Gold Coast’s leading studios for classical ballet training while offering comprehensive education across all dance genres, creating versatile, confident, and well-rounded artists.

Today our full-time dancers made the trip to Brisbane to watch two of our very own shine on stage the beautiful Mia and Miss Charlotte performing in Echo 2026. 🖤

Miss Riannon’s work through The Movement Lab was the highlight of the evening a true testament to her extraordinary artistry and vision as a choreographer and director.
