🇫🇷 What a session!
A huge thank you to Marius, Division 1 French international judoka, for spending the evening with the team at Maishin Judo Club.
We were fortunate to learn his approach to Kata Guruma and Ouchi-gari, along with the French-style transition drills from Tachi-waza to Ne-waza. One thing that really stood out was how every reaction from your opponent has an answer, creating seamless opportunities to continue attacking.
Marius also shared that a high percentage of French judoka win their matches in Ne-waza, highlighting the importance of never stopping after the initial throw attempt.
Thank you for sharing your knowledge, experience and passion for judo. Sessions like this help all of us continue to grow.
We hope to see you back on the Gold Coast again soon! 🥋🇦🇺🇫🇷

Great having judo black belt and his partner Jenna join us from Tasmania tonight. Craig is in fight camp for where he will be competing in a submission Grappling contest Friday 10th July at SOPO in Southport. Thank you for sharing some of your knowledge and it was fun to do some no gi randori.
Good luck with the rest of your camp and if anyone wants to watch him in action tickets are still available.

Strong results from our veterans team today with all 4 players coming home with medals.
Yumiko "supermum" Hayashi totally dominated again this year hardly breaking a sweat to take home the National title once again.
Peter Yeo won his very first Australian title in his very first attempt, after crossing over from the UK.
Diogo and Alexei had some hard contests fighting their way to the finals and coming away with Silver medals.
Christelle entered her kata division with a new partner this year and ended up just missing the finals by 7 points. Great effort for the limited amount of preparation this year.
