Another great field of 9 racers were on hand at Dodge Valley Motorplex last Friday night to take on week 3 of the ScaleAuto Porsche Cup plus Vintage NASCAR & Slot.it Group C.
Open Vintage NASCAR were first on Hellcat Pass & with some high powered machines lined up, there was sure to be plenty of thrills & spills on the tight confines of the circuit.
Woodstock, Bazza, Dodgie, Guru, Professor & Alby all shared in the heat wins but Dodgie was a stand out achieving low 5s lap times & even dropping into the 4.9s in one of his heats.
Dodgie took the overall win with 3 heat wins to finish nearly 2 laps ahead of Alby who took a heat win & 3 seconds while Bazza ended up 1 lap behind Alby with the same results as Alby.
Guru ended up just missing out on the podium after a rough 1st heat & was followed closely by Woodstock who led Professor, Bruce, Tony & Allen to the chequered flag.
Our focus turned to The Duster for the ScaleAuto Porsche Cup & saw Dodgie, Professor, Guru, Bazza, Alby & Woodstock all take heat wins.

Race Wrap - 05.06.26
The chill of Winter arrived at Dodge Valley Motorplex last Friday night with 9 drivers on hand to take on three race categories including Pioneer Legends, ScaleAuto Porsche Cup & NSR Mosler.
Hellcat Pass was the scene of the 1st event which was the ever popular Pioneer Legends but with Hellcat Pass being a non-magnetic braid, the Legends were in effect magless.
Bazza, Professor, Dodgie & Guru all shared in the heat wins while Brett, Allen & Bruce were the only other drivers to take a runners up position in any of the heats.
Professor & Guru both took 3 heat wins but Guru prevailed to take the overall victory by just under half a lap.
Bazza took a single heat win & 3 second place finishes to actually finish in 2nd overall ahead of Professor by a third of a lap.
Dodgie finished best of the rest with 2 heat wins & 2 seconds followed by Brett, Allen, Woodstock, Bruce & Alby.
The Duster then roared into life with the ScaleAuto Porsche Cup hitting the track next.
Brett was one of the standout performers consistently dualing for the lead in numerous heats, featuring on the heat winners list along with Dodgie, Professor & Guru.
Bazza, Woodstock & Bruce all took runners up finishes with Woodstock & Dodgie having lead wire disconnections during their heats costing them valuable laps.
Guru managed a clean sweep of heat wins to take the overall lead by just over a lap from Professor while Brett took his 2nd podium in as many weeks, finishing 3rd overall.
Bazza led the chasing pack to the chequered flag followed by Alby, Dodgie, Bruce, Woodstock & Allen.
The Duster was warmed up & ready for the final event of the night featuring NSR Mosler & saw one of the most unusual moments we have witnessed in a while.
In a heat featuring Alby & Professor, both drivers unknowingly plugged into each other's lane & drove the whole race on each other's lane.
Nobody realised until the end of the race which Professor won but he hadn't because he'd driven & won the race for Alby.
We all had quite a laugh about it (sorry Professor & Alby but it was funny!) & all drivers were careful to make sure they were on the correct lane for the rest of the night.
Professor, Woodstock, Bazza & Alby (courtesy of Professor) all took heat wins while Guru, Dodgie, Woodstock & Brett all managed runners up finishes.
Bazza & Professor both took 3 heat wins but with the mix up of Alby & Professor in the earlier heat, Bazza took the overall victory by just over a lap from Guru with 3 second place finishes while Professor took the final podium position only a third of a lap behind Guru.
Woodstock just missed out on the podium by 0.16 of a lap with 2 heat wins & was chsed to the chequered flag by Brett, Dodgie, Alby (1 heat win), Allen & Bruce.
Thank-you to all those who were able to come along & make it a fun night.
Categories for the next fortnight will be:
Vintage NASCAR (open) on Hellcat Pass
Slot.it Group C (magless) & ScaleAuto Porsche Cup (magless) on The Duster.
Hope to see you all there.
