You know that thing you've been meaning to get done? The one that's been sitting in the back of your mind, taking up space, while you keep thinking, “I really need to get that done.”

Imagine finally getting that thing done. 💗

Well, let's get it done- or at least started.

I'm running the first Future You Friday- an online get-it-done session for single women.

We'll spend about two hours together on Zoom, each working on our own task, with me there to help you stay focused, get stuck into your task and keep moving, rather than staying stuck on it.

It could be paperwork, a form, organising a cupboard or drawer, making a plan, researching something you've been putting off, or getting started on a job you've been avoiding.

Basically, a task you can reasonably tackle in two hours or less. No clothes! 😂

It doesn't have to be two hours of hard slog. Bring your dinner, bring a drink, have a chat, take a break- we're getting things done, but we're also enjoying ourselves.

You might get the whole thing done or you might get a really good chunk of it done.

Either way, you'll have finished the week in the company of fabulous single women, who are all making an effort to keep their lives moving forward, rather than being stuck on the spot. 💗

This could become one of my paid services in future, so get in now and join us for the very first one for free.

📅 Friday 4 September
⏰ 7:00–9:00pm
💻 Online via Zoom

RSVP by Monday 31 August if you'd like to join us, and I'll send you the details.

And if you're curious about what I'm holding in the photo... I'll tell you all about it on Friday. 😉

Come and get something done. Future You will thank you for it. ✨

Want to join us? Send me a private message by Monday 31 August to RSVP, and I'll send you the Zoom details later in the week. 💗

You know that thing you've been meaning to get done? The one that's been on your mind day in, day out, and maybe even keeping you awake at night?

Imagine finally getting that thing done. 💗

Future You Friday is a new online get-it-done session for single women who have a task they'd really like to tackle.

For about two hours, we'll get together online and get stuck into our own things, with me there to help you stay focused and moving, and other women doing the same.

It could be a box you've been meaning to sort, a drawer that's driving you mad, some paperwork, a form, a bit of organising, something you've been putting off...

Basically, a job that could take two hours or less. No clothes, no yukkas. 😂

I'm putting together the first Future You Friday now.

You can see how bloody thrilled I was to have gotten one of my jobs done!

Details tomorrow. 💗

There's a particular feeling you get when you've finally got one of those big jobs done.

You can breathe again.

That thing that's been lurking around the corner, or staring at you from the corner of your mind, isn't there anymore. You've dealt with it. It's DONE.

Suddenly there's room for other things. Fun things. Easy things. New possibilities. The good stuff.

But it takes getting that s**t done first. 😂 You don't necessarily need someone to do it for you.

You might just need someone alongside you while you get it done.

That's a big part of what practical support can look like.

Helping you get moving, keep going, and get to that lovely “ahhhh, that's done” feeling. 💗

If you've got something you've been putting off and you'd like some help getting it done, send me a message. 💗

If you've heard your husband say things that have changed the way you see him, don't ignore that feeling.

You don't need to wait for things to get worse before deciding that something isn't okay for you.

And if you do decide to leave, being single isn't as scary as it might seem.

You'll be okay. 💗

A theme that's been popping up in conversations with single women lately is that we're not coping with life as well as we usually do.

Small things feel harder. S**t doesn't get done. The overwhelm builds up.

Then it starts spilling into the rest of our lives. We might be thinking about the crap at home while we're at work. We feel the pressure no matter where we are, and it can be hard to know where to start getting things back under control.

We're capable. We just don't have to prove it by doing everything alone.

What do you wish you had someone to help you with?

I’d love to hear what you’re dealing with. 💗

I’ve been thinking about the way we talk about “comebacks” and “redemption” when the man we’re talking about has harmed a woman.

People can change.

But I don’t believe we should turn NOT abusing women into a redemption story.

It should be the absolute norm.

And I think we need to think more carefully about who gets celebrated, whose story gets centred, and who gets left out of the story. 💖

One of the things I want women to know about She’s Going Places is that I will stand by my convictions, even when nobody’s watching.

And when I’m choosing where to take my women, I want them to know I’m thinking beyond whether somewhere is fun or convenient.

I want us to support places that align with our values, and to walk away from those who don’t.

We look out for each other. That also means showing women who have experienced domestic violence that we have their backs. 💖

Here at She's Going Places, I've been talking a lot about single women and the challenges, freedoms, frustrations and possibilities that come with doing life solo.

I'm living that as well. I know what it's like to be capable and independent, but also to look around and think, f**k, how do I do this thing, and is there anyone who can help me with it if I can't figure it out or don't want to do it alone?

There's more to life than just surviving, getting through s**t, making do. I want that for us. I want us to have good lives. We should be able to try things, go out, go places, have fun, make plans, learn things- not just do the basics, or essentials that life entails.

We should have a community of our own, with women who understand what this life can be like. I believe other single women are exactly who we need.

The single-women events I run give single women a chance to come together, have some fun and start building the kinds of friendships and support networks we haven't had handed to us automatically or naturally developed.

But this isn't an events business.

The other side of She's Going Places is practical one-to-one support for single women. Think support work, but for single women.

There's something you want or need to do, which isn't being done, is too hard, or you don't know how to do. Having another capable woman alongside you would make doing that thing easier.

You don't have to let a thing, task, goal or appointment hold you back, and you sure AF don't have to do everything alone just because you're single.

What I know about myself and my mission is that I want us to be looked after, and to have the support we need to get the lives we want. And it's me who'll help you with that.

This is She's Going Places. 💗
