WHAT A SEASON IT’S BEEN!
This weekend, our Minis take the field for their final round of the season, and we couldn’t be prouder of how far they’ve come. They’ve gone from strength to strength, growing in confidence, skills and, most importantly, as a team.
And then there’s our Juniors…
ALL FIVE of our Junior teams are heading into the semi-finals this Sunday! What an incredible achievement and a true reflection of the commitment, determination and heart our players have shown week after week.
But what makes this season even more special is that it’s about more than just rugby.
It’s about the culture we’re building. It’s about our kids supporting each other, families coming together, coaches and volunteers giving their time, and a club that continues to grow both on and off the field.
None of this would be possible without the incredible support of our very generous sponsors. Your contribution helps us create opportunities, build our club and give our players a place to belong.

Nestled in the scenic Lapstone Oval, our club is the heart of Junior Rugby Union for kids aged between 5 and 18 years old.
Join us as we foster a love for the game, teamwork, and sportsmanship in the breathtaking backdrop of the Blue Mountains. Junior Rugby club based in the Lower Blue Mountains. Our U10s and U13s have secured HOME FINALS after finishing 2nd!
With a spot in the Grand Final on the line, there’s plenty to play for!
A huge congratulations to our players, and a massive thank you to our coaches, managers and trainers for their time, commitment and dedication all season to get our teams to this point!

This Sunday marks the last round of the 2026 regular season for our Junior Blue Tongues!
What a season it has been, and with all 5 of our Junior teams in the hunt for semi-finals, there is still plenty to play for this weekend! 🔥
One last regular-season game. Stay focused, back each other, play hard and leave everything out on the field — but most importantly, enjoy your rugby and have fun!
Let’s finish the regular season strong and show everyone what it means to wear the Blue Tongues jersey. 💙

OUR BIG FUNDRAISER NIGHT IS BACK!
After a HUGE success last year, our fundraiser night is back Thursday 22nd October from 6pm at the Trots!
After another HUGE season of junior rugby, it’s time for us parents to celebrate surviving another year of early mornings, training, canteen & BBQ duty and cheering from the sidelines!
Think cocktail-style food, drinks, raffles galore, a silent auction and plenty of laughs with your rugby crew.
Last year, the funds raised allowed us to provide FREE playing kits to all our players and with increased registrations this year, we’re hoping to make this year even bigger!

Today was a milestone moment for our Under 7s Mini team as they played their very first game of tackle rugby.
As a club, we are incredibly proud of this group of young players. We knew they were ready for this next step, and today they showed exactly why. The courage, determination, teamwork and sportsmanship they displayed on the field was outstanding, and it was fantastic to see all their hard work at training pay off.
Here’s what Coach Pete had to say after the game:
“What an absolute cracker of a day for our Under 7s rugby team. Today marked our official transition from tag to tackle, and these young legends did not disappoint.
Every single player stepped up and showed massive courage, running with absolute determination, breaking lines and chasing space all game. When it came to defence, their tackling was incredibly hard and safe, showing they’re already mastering the core techniques.
The dedication and commitment the kids have shown at training completely paid off today. Most importantly, the energy was high, the smiles were huge, and everyone had an absolute blast playing together.
From a coach’s view, this is just the beginning. I am so proud of you all, and we’ll continue to build together week by week.”
Congratulations to all of our Under 7s on a fantastic first tackle game, and thank you to all the parents and supporters who were there cheering them on. What a day!

Friday Night Under the Lights!
Huge game this week as our Blue Mountains U15s go head-to-head with St Pats at Lapstone Oval.
Skip cooking Friday night—we’ve got dinner covered with the canteen and BBQ firing on all cylinders! Grab a sausage sanga, cheer on the boys, and make some noise for local junior Rugby.
Kickoff at 7:30 PM. Don’t miss it!
What an incredible night at Lapstone Oval!
A massive thank you to the Waratahs players for coming out to meet our teams, sign every article of clothing and running some drills with the kids. We are so grateful for your time, energy, and generosity!
The night was packed with big smiles, but a special shoutout to George Poolman & Eamon Doyle, who quite literally gave the clothes off their own backs for our happy young fans!
George ended up braving the cold Mountains air in just a t-shirt—though we're glad to report he’s now proudly sporting our retro jersey (even if it’s a tad too small on him!).
It’s unforgettable nights like these that inspire the next generation of players. Thank you, NSW Waratahs, Blue Mountains Junior Rugby Club is stronger for it.
