Matilda had a weekend of ups and downs on the track this weekend. Friday night she started pole in her first heat where she got a hit in the back of the car push her infield and launching the car over an infield bump. After this her car handled horrible to we found a spring was stuffed and needed replacing.

With a fix Saturday morning she was ready to go. With her great friend Ryan coming to watch her and three aunties and an uncle in the crowd, Matilda achieved one of her biggest goals, to win a heat race. She drove beautifully and made some clean passes to work to the front and stay there. All of us are over the moon and there was a lot of cheering from everyone when she crossed the line.

With the heat win, she ended up starting 3rd in the feature. This race didn’t go her was with a couple of hits to the side of the car, she finished the race, but with a bent car. Now to fix it before her next adventure.

She has done it! Matilda has had her first Heat win. We are so proud of all her hard work
