🥊 More Than Just Fighters

At GABC, we’re incredibly proud of our fighters, not just for what they achieve inside the ring, but for who they become outside of it.

Boxing teaches you how to fight, but it also teaches you how to work hard, handle setbacks, stay disciplined, show up when things get tough and keep pushing forward.
And sometimes, the biggest wins have nothing to do with a boxing ring.

Today, we celebrate one of our own, Coby Granzien, who has just completed his Certificate III in Engineering – Mechanical Trade (Fitting/Machining). 👏

We’ve watched Coby put in the hard yards, both as a fighter and in his life outside the gym, and we couldn’t be prouder.💙💪

This is exactly what we want for every young person who walks through our doors.
Be brave enough to step into the ring.
Work hard enough to chase your goals.
And become a good human along the way.

To all our fighters, past and present, we are proud of you. Whether your biggest achievement is winning a title, overcoming something personal, finishing school, starting an apprenticeship, building a career or simply becoming the best version of yourself…

We had the crew from Apex Boxing and Fitness through our doors last night for some quality rounds with our GABC fighters! 🔥

There’s nothing quite like a good sparring night, different fighters, different styles, fresh challenges and plenty of learning for everyone involved. Every round is an opportunity to test yourself, sharpen your skills and get that little bit better. 👊

A huge thank you to the Apex Boxing crew for making the trip and putting in the work with us. We really appreciate clubs getting together and creating opportunities for our fighters to learn and grow.

We are incredibly proud to announce that Gladstone Amateur Boxing Club has been named in the Top 25 nominees for Education & Training in the GCCI Best in Business Awards 2026! 🎉🥊

For a little not-for-profit, volunteer-run boxing club, this recognition means so much. ❤️

Because what happens inside our four walls is about so much more than boxing.

We teach our kids and members discipline, resilience, confidence, respect, accountability and perseverance. We give them a place to belong, coaches who believe in them, and opportunities to learn, grow and discover just how capable they really are.

From our Peewees taking their first steps into the gym, to our fighters chasing their dreams in the ring, we’re helping build stronger people, not just better boxers. 🥊

Making the Top 25 alongside so many incredible organisations in our community is an honour in itself.

With the school term kicking off, that means our Peewee Boxing sessions are back on this afternoon! 🎉

Whether your little one is returning after the holidays or wants to give boxing a go for the very first time, we'd love to welcome them to the GABC family.

Our Peewee program is all about building confidence, fitness, discipline, and having fun in a safe and supportive environment under the guidance of Coach Kaz. 💙💛
