Central Football Club is excited to announce our 2027 Development Squad and FQPL pathways, providing players with opportunities to challenge themselves, develop their skills and take the next step in their football journey.

⚽ DEVELOPMENT SQUADS (Ages 8-13)

For 2027, Central Football Club is aligning our Development Squads with the Football Queensland Development Program structure.

Our Development Squads will be led by experienced Diploma-qualified coaches, with a strong focus on developing players technically, tactically and mentally.

Players selected into our Development Squads will:

⚽ Train and play at a higher level
📈 Play up a division during the regular season
🧠 Develop technical ability, game understanding and decision-making
🏆 Represent Central Football Club at carnivals against other club development squads within their correct age group

🏆 FQPL – TAKE YOUR FOOTBALL TO THE NEXT LEVEL

The big one! For players ready for the highest level of competitive football available within their age group, Central Football Club also offers the Football Queensland Premier League (FQPL) pathway.

FQPL brings together teams from Gladstone, Rockhampton and Yeppoon, providing players with the opportunity to compete against strong regional opposition week after week.

FQPL players can expect:

💪 Two training sessions per week
⚽ High-level, challenging competition
🧠 A strong focus on technical and tactical development
🚌 Regional travel to games, including Rockhampton and Yeppoon
🏆 The opportunity to represent Central Football Club at the highest competitive level

Central Football Club provides buses for many away fixtures, helping make regional travel easier for players and families.

If your player is passionate about football, enjoys being challenged and is ready to take their skills to the next level, FQPL could be the pathway for them.
