celebrated Season 2023 in style last Friday evening and it’s biggest and best presentation awards night.

A huge thank you to our major sponsor for your hospitality as always, for captivating the room as MC and of course, all of of our players, supporters, parents, partners and alumni who attended.

Grand final reviews.

Our minor premiership winning Women’s Black side battled through a tightly contested match today which went all the way to penalties. Unfortunately we were not on the winning side but there is a lot to be proud of after a hugely successful season and our ladies were awarded their first piece of silverware after the match.

NWSF’s showcase men’s fixture took place last night with our First Grade warriors battling minor premiers West Pennant Hills. The first half was high paced and there was plenty of quality football on show with our lads unlucky not to be awarded a penalty for a clear foul in the 18 yard. The second half was a bit more of a cagey affair but despite this SPFC managed to get on top and were extremely unlucky not to score when hitting the crossbar. WPH then surged and were awarded a penalty which they converted.

Our lads fought to the final whistle and were once again denied by the post late in the match, eventually going down 1-0.

Despite not bringing home trophy our lads have plenty to be proud of as they won 8 in a row on the lead up to the grand final and were the first newly promoted team in NWSF history to make the grand final on their first year in the comp.

Well done to all involved and that’s a wrap on season 2023!

This Sunday SPFC’s Womens ‘Black’ side contest their first ever grand final vs Gladesville Sharks at Christie Park from 1:45pm.

Come down and support the ladies in their quest of bringing home some silverware!

AROUND THE GOUNDS | Over the past month SPFC has had two major events our Annual Women's Day where we raised money for @whiteribbonaust and our Founders Day Clash against the SPC First XI @spc.strathfield both a great success!!
