Somewhere on your computer, there is a half-finished document.

Maybe it's a PDF you started writing six months ago. Something helpful. Something you genuinely know a lot about.

You got two pages in and then life happened.

Or you got two pages in and thought, "Who am I to write this?"

Or you got two pages in and realised you also needed a page to put it on, and a way to deliver it, and something to say afterwards, and suddenly it was four separate jobs, each needing a skill nobody ever taught you in your training.

So the document is still sitting there. In a folder called "Marketing stuff" or "Website bits" or, my personal favourite, "ACTUALLY DO THIS."

You are not lazy.

You are a person who trained for years to help people, and then discovered that getting those people to find you requires an entirely different set of skills that were not part of the deal.

Every counsellor I talk to has some version of this folder.

It's basically a rite of passage at this point.

So go on. Be honest.

What's the name of YOUR folder? And how long has that document been sitting in it?

No judgement. I just want to know I'm not the only one. ๐Ÿ˜„

If you judged your website purely on whether someone booked a session the first time they visitedโ€ฆ

You'd think it wasn't working.

And honestly, most of us do think that.

We check our diary. It's empty. We look at our website and think, "What's wrong with it?"

But think about what we're actually asking someone to do.

We're asking a stranger to read a few paragraphs about us, decide we're the right person to sit with during one of the most vulnerable experiences of their life, and then pick up the phone or fill in a form.

The first time they've ever seen our face.

That is an enormous ask.

Of course most people don't do it straight away.

They come back. They read a bit more. They check your qualifications. They show your photo to their partner and say, "What do you think of her?"

They circle the decision for days. Sometimes weeks.

This doesn't mean your website is failing.

It means the thing you're measuring is wrong.

A booking is the last thing someone does, not the first.

So here's what I've been wondering, and I'd genuinely love to know.

When was the last time you booked something important with a stranger the very first time you found them online? What did you actually do first?

She found you last Tuesday.

She'd been up since 2am again, doing that thing where you google what you're feeling and hope someone on the internet can explain it better than you can.

Your website came up.

She read your About page. Slowly.

She thought, "This person gets it."

She looked at your contact page.

She nearly filled in the form.

And then her toddler woke up. Or her courage ran out. Or she just thought "not today."

She closed the tab.

You never knew she was there.

This happens more than any of us realise. People find us, feel something real, and leave before we ever get the chance to help.

Your website was fine.

You said nothing wrong.

They simply weren't ready. And there was nothing there for the person who isn't ready yet.

I've been thinking about this a lot lately, and I'm going to be talking about it over the next couple of weeks.

But I'm curious first.

Have you ever wondered how many people visit your website and leave without you knowing? What do you think stops them from reaching out?

No countdown. No closing date. No pressure of any kind.

The 90-Day Fast-Track to Profit is evergreen. It will be here when you are ready.

But I do want to put one question in front of you.

What does another year at your current fees actually cost?

Not emotionally. Financially. If you are undercharging by even a modest amount on every client, across a full year, the number is probably larger than you have sat down and calculated.

The programme is A$300. It is twelve weeks. It builds a simple email challenge you can run whenever you need clients, and a system to repeat it.

When I ran my own email challenge using this approach, three of the people it brought in went on to become Confident Prosperity members. More than a year later they are all still with me, and all three are generating leads consistently. That durability tells me more about whether something works than any single number could.

If you follow the system, implement the strategies, and show up for your weekly coaching in Marketing Labs, and you do not generate at least $3,000 within 90 days of completing the programme, I will continue coaching you for an additional three months at no extra charge.

That is the guarantee. It is about staying with you until the thing works, rather than handing your money back and walking away.

The question is not whether you can afford A$300.

The question is whether you can afford another year of the same.

What if...

If the answer to undercharging is flow, the next question is obvious.

How do you build it?

Not theoretically. Practically. In a way that fits a solo practice, does not require a big following, and does not involve doing things that feel completely foreign to who you are.

The approach I teach is a short email challenge. Five days. Real, useful content. People sign up, they get a small win each day, and they experience being helped by you rather than marketed at.

It is the most natural way I know to let the right people find you, trust you, and decide for themselves that they want to work with you.

My email challenge brought people into Fast-Track, and three of them went on to join Confident Prosperity. All three are still with me more than a year later, and all three are generating leads consistently. I have also helped others build their own challenge from scratch and run it again whenever they need to bring new people in.

I put everything I know about this into a programme called The 90-Day Fast-Track to Profit. Twelve weeks. A$300. Self-paced, so you start when you enrol and work at a pace that suits you.

It builds the challenge, the email sequence, the offer, and the system to run it repeatedly.

If the last few posts have felt relevant to your situation, this might be worth a look.

Two practitioners. Same training. Same years of experience. Very different fees.

I have seen this so many times it no longer surprises me.

The difference is almost never what they know. It is almost never how good they are at the actual work. Both of them are excellent.

The difference is how many conversations they are having.

One of them has a steady flow of enquiries. Not hundreds. Not a waiting list necessarily. Just enough that when someone says no, or haggles, or disappears after the discovery call, it stings but it does not sink them.

The other one is waiting. Hoping. Checking their inbox. And when an enquiry finally arrives, they hold it very carefully, because it feels fragile.

That is pricing power, or the absence of it.

Pricing power is the ability to lose one client without it mattering very much.

It is built from the number of live conversations you are having, not from the number on your certificate or the hours you spent in training.

The inner work is real. It is how you find the number that is right for you. But it cannot change what happens in your body when you say that number to someone whose yes you are not sure of. That steadiness comes from somewhere else.

You build it by building flow.

There is a gap most pricing advice never talks about. The price you arrive at on your own, when you have done the inner work and you know what feels right. And the price you can actually say out loud to someone sitting across from you who might say no.

I know. That is not what anyone tells us.

We are told to value ourselves. To know our worth. To charge what we are worth. And we nod, and we agree, and then we take the next enquiry and quote something smaller than we meant to.

You can do the inner work. You can sit with a number, sense into it, adjust it, and arrive at something you genuinely feel at peace with. That part is real, and it matters. But then you get to the actual conversation, and if there is only one enquiry in your diary, that enquiry holds all the power. The peace you found at your desk does not always make it into the room with you.

You cannot hold a price when you cannot afford to lose the person in front of you.

This is not a character flaw. It is arithmetic.

When demand is low, any single client becomes too important to risk. So the price softens. The boundaries soften. The whole arrangement softens, because losing this one would hurt.

Undercharging is almost always a demand problem wearing a confidence costume.

Which means the answer is not more courage. The answer is more conversations. More enquiries. A fuller pipeline, so that no single person holds all the cards.

That shift in framing changed every

The number that came out of my mouth was not the number in my head.

Someone asked what I charged. I had a figure ready. A fair figure. One I had thought about carefully and decided was right.

And then I heard myself say something smaller.

Not dramatically smaller. Just... smaller. With a little upward lilt at the end, as if I was checking whether that was okay with them.

I drove home replaying it. Told myself it was a one-off. Told myself I had just been caught off guard.

But it had happened before. And I knew it.

There is a particular kind of discomfort that lives in the gap between the price you believe you should charge and the price that actually leaves your mouth. Most of us who work in the helping professions know exactly what I am talking about.

Nobody warns you about it in training.

Nobody tells you that quoting your fee to a stranger is one of the stranger professional experiences you will ever have.

Has this happened to you? I would genuinely love to know I was not alone in this.

๐—”๐—ฟ๐—ฒ ๐˜†๐—ผ๐˜‚ ๐—ฟ๐—ฒ๐—ฎ๐—ฑ๐˜†?

I have a question and I want you to answer it honestly, even if just to yourself.

How long have you been getting ready to start?

Not getting ready in a productive way. Getting ready in the way where you are doing another course, watching another webinar, reading another book about positioning or niching or building an audience, and telling yourself that once you have finished this one, you will be ready to actually begin.

I did this. For longer than I am comfortable admitting.

I called it preparation. What it actually was, if I am being honest, was a way of staying in motion without taking the kind of action that felt genuinely risky. Learning feels productive. Putting yourself out there feels exposed.

But here is the thing about constant preparation. It has a cost. Every month spent in learning mode is a month where the people you are here to help are not finding you. And the confidence you are waiting for does not build in the learning. It builds in the doing.

I am not saying stop learning. Learning is part of this work and always will be. But there is a difference between learning that moves you forward and learning that keeps you comfortable while standing still.

If you finished your qualification more than a few months ago and you still do not have a clear, simple way of attracting clients, it might be worth asking whether you are in preparation mode or whether you are genuinely building something.

You already know enough to start. You really do.

What would you do this week if you decided you were ready enough? I am asking seriously. Tell me in the comments.

Can I tell you what my browser history looked like in my first year of practice?

Funnels. Email sequences. Facebook ads. SEO strategies. Branding guides. Lead magnets. Content calendars. Podcast pitching. Pinterest marketing.

I was not building a business. I was drowning in information about building a business, which is a completely different thing.

Every new piece of advice felt urgent. Every strategy seemed like the one I was missing. So I kept learning, kept bookmarking, kept telling myself I would implement it all once I understood it properly.

Meanwhile, I had no simple, working foundation. No clear message. No consistent way of showing up. Just an ever-growing list of things I was going to do eventually.

This is one of the most common patterns I see in newly qualified helping professionals.

They are neither lazy nor disorganised. They are overwhelmed by an industry that profits from making things complicated.

The truth is, you do not need funnels in month one. You do not need ads, or a podcast, or a content strategy that would exhaust a team of three. You need one simple foundation. A clear message, a way to show up consistently, and a way for the right people to take a next step with you.

That is it. That is the whole thing.

Everything else can come later, once that foundation is working. Build on solid ground first, and the more advanced strategies actually have something to land on.

I would love to know what you are finding most overwhelming right now.

What is the piece of advice you keep hearing that makes you feel like you are already behind?
