Wave Rally is incredibly proud and excited to announce that Wave Rally has been named a finalist in the 2026 Western Australian Sailing Awards for Sport Promotion of the Year! 🥳

This recognition belongs to the entire community that has helped bring the Wave Rally World Championships to life. A huge thank you to Australian Windsurfing, Windsurfing Western Australia (WWA) and the Geraldton Windsurfing Club (GWC) for their ongoing support and belief in the event.

We are also extremely proud to represent Western Australia’s spectacular Australia's Coral Coast, Visit Geraldton and the Shire of Chapman Valley. Their incredible locations, communities and support provide the perfect home for Wave Rally and help us showcase our region to Australia and the world.

The official poster for WAVE RALLY 3!

Massive thanks to Water Nomads NZ for offering support to Wave Rally by offering vouchers. The fact they wanted to get involved was a great surprise and testament to how Wave Rally has inspired windsurfers worldwide.

Water Nomads offer long-term rental of premium windsurfing equipment to international visitors in New Zealand. They expanded their fleet to include high-performance surfboards and have since grown into New Zealand’s leading Wingfoil, Surf, and Windsurf centre for long-term equipment hire.

Here is the finish line arch which will add spectacle to the end of the race and give WAVE RALLY another opportunity to show appreciation and broadcast the major sponsors.

Huge thank you once again to the Mid West Ports Authority for giving their support to Wave Rally. This is the second year the MWPA have given a generous financial grant to our event. Through their investment there has been financial scope to improve Wave Rally for 2027 and beyond.

Also a huge thank you to the amazing local Rose Holdaway one of the fantastic volunteers from the past events. She represented us at the official MWPA grant recipient media event and showed her appreciation on behalf of the Wave Rally community.

There are some big improvements for 2027 coming up for Wave Rally. It's going to be the best presented windsurf event in Australia next summer.
