REDBALL IS BACK! 🥍🔴

Grab your mates, build a team, or sign up solo - Redball is returning to Gepps Cross this October!

Whether you’re a regular lacrosse player, coming back for some summer fun, or picking up a stick for the very first time, Redball is all about getting out there, having a run and enjoying the game.

📅 DATES
🔴 Wednesday 14 October: Welcome Event + Trial Games
🔴 Every Wednesday after that: Games continue through to 16 December

⏰ GAME TIMES
🥍 Ages 14 & under: from 6:00pm
🥍 Ages 15+: from 7:00pm

👥 HOW TO ENTER
You can either:
• Register your own team
• Sign up as a Free Agent and we’ll help find you a team

📌 Team registrations close Sunday 11 October.

Free Agents can also sign up in person at our Welcome Event on Wednesday 14 October.

💰 FEES
• Full Team: $400
• Free Agent: $50

The $400 team registration includes your first game at the Welcome Event plus all games throughout the season.

📝 TEAM REQUIREMENTS
Teams must have:
• Minimum 5 players
• Maximum 8 players
• At least 1 female player
• At least 1 junior player
• At least 1 brand-new player who has never played club lacrosse before

When registering, please provide your:
• Team name
• Team colour
• Rough team list

Don’t have a stick? No worries — sticks can be supplied if needed.

Our very own Heather Badger has been named one of just 43 finalists in The Advertiser’s search for South Australia’s Best Junior Sports Coach of 2026! 🏆

Even better — Heather is the ONLY LACROSSE COACH among the 43 finalists! 💪🥍

Heather is our U13s Coach and Junior Coordinator and has been part of North Adelaide Lacrosse Club for 16 years. From playing State League and box lacrosse to coaching juniors and seniors, running Quick Stix clinics and helping introduce lacrosse to kids through our school programs, Heather gives so much to our sport and our young players.

She celebrates the big wins, but also the moments that matter just as much — a first goal, a contested groundball, trying something new or simply growing in confidence. ❤️

And somehow, she does all of this while completing a full-time PhD! 🎓

NALC members — we’re calling for nominations for the 2026 Lacrosse SA Awards!
If you know someone from our lacrosse community who deserves recognition for their service, contribution or achievements, we’d love to hear from you.

🏆 Award Categories
🏅 Life Membership
For someone who has given at least 10 years of outstanding voluntary service specifically to lacrosse in SA. This recognises long-term commitment, responsibility and contribution to lacrosse in South Australia.

⭐ Award of Merit
For someone who has provided at least 7 years of significant service to lacrosse and Lacrosse SA, including through playing, coaching, officiating, administration, club, state or national involvement.

👏 Service Award – Officials/Administrators
For someone with at least 7 years of dedicated service as an administrator, Board member, accredited coach or accredited official at club, state or national level.

🥍 Service Award – Players
Recognising major playing milestones, including:
• 300, 400 or 500 documented senior games, or
• Selection in 10 senior National and/or International teams.

🥍 Sportsman of the Year
For an outstanding male player and their performances and achievements throughout 2026. Nominees must have been over 21 on 1 January 2026.

🥍 Sportswoman of the Year
For an outstanding female player and their performances and achievements throughout 2026. Nominees must have been over 21 on 1 January 2026.

🥍 Hobbs Trophy – U21 Sportsman of the Year
Recognising an outstanding young male player and their 2026 achievements. Nominees must have been over 17 and under 21 on 1 January 2026.

🥍 Hewitson Trophy – U21 Sportswoman of the Year
Recognising an outstanding young female player and their 2026 achievements. Nominees must have been over 17 and under 21 on 1 January 2026.

🌟 Sandery Trophy – U17 Sportsman of the Year
For an outstanding male junior player and their achievements throughout 2026. Nominees must have been under 17 on 1 January 2026.

🌟 Gomer Trophy – U17 Sportswoman of the Year
For an outstanding female junior player and their achievements throughout 2026. Nominees must have been under 17 on 1 January 2026.

📋 Carr Trophy – Administrator of the Year
Recognising an outstanding volunteer administrator for their leadership, achievements, administrative skills, time and contribution to their role.

For the player awards, consideration is also given to qualities including ability, improvement, sportsmanship, leadership and contribution to the lacrosse community.
