Proud of our roommates Newcomb Power Football & Netball Club for their season which unfortunately came to an end with a finals loss yesterday afternoon.

A return to finals after 19 years is a great achievement, well done to Matt and his committee, Tony and the coaching panel, and all the playing group, sure this is just the start of what’s to come. Also to the netball section with the C grade making an elimination final.

Great to see so many cricket faces down at Port over the 2 weeks.

The following shifts have been allocated and we need 4 people minimum per shift.

7am-9.30am
9.30am-12pm
12.00pm-2.30pm
2.30pm-5pm

The NDCC committee and players extend their condolences to Katie and Leish Appleyard, as well as their families, on the passing of their beloved mother Sue.

As a mark of respect, all players will wear a black armband in the first round of the women’s fixture.

We would like to congratulate the following people who have been selected for captaincy positions for the upcoming season.

In the men’s first 11, we couldn’t look past the premiership winning combination of Jason Robertson and Anthony Quarrell.

In the women’s first 11, we welcome Kelsey Allan as captain/coach with Jodie Clarke as vice captain.

Mens 2nd 11 will see Josh Walker assume the role, with Tyson Henry as vice.

The 3rd 11 we’ve gone down the path of youth, with Troy Whitworth and Rick McHutchinson taking the roles, good luck to those young fellas.

The 4th 11 again sees Garth Ballentine at the helm, with a VC yet to be appointed
