Don't forget Club Event 7 is on this Sunday 6th September. Entrance office will be open all day Saturday. We are back on the long track . Get that practice in for the state title on November 28/29th.

There will be two further new areas of concrete to improve access. One outside the tech shed to improve kart collection during events and a further concrete area between the main grandstand and out grid. Four large outdoor table settings are on way as pictured below to improve spectator seating.

Remember that entries for all club events can be completed at the GKC entrance office anytime it is open for the next club event. Entry forms are in the office to collect. Please ensure you know your transponder number. You can also enter directly for the 2026 November 28/29 Victorian State Championship at the GKC entrance office also.

Track will be closed this Monday 31st August 26 all day for grass mowing across the entire complex and other works. Will re open Tuesday morning 9am as per normal.

Supp Regs for the 2026 GKC Victorian State Titles are now available on the GKC website at various locations including on the calendar tab, latest news and blog posts. The online entry button is available for entry on the website now also. Don't use mobile phone to enter , please use desktop or laptop. Get those entries in early to secure your class. The event is being held over the weekend of November 28/29. Saturday is an optional practise day. All racing and qualifying takes place on Sunday only.

EVENT SUPPLEMENTARY REGULATIONS
This event will be a AASA Open event conducted under the GKC Karting Rules and any further regulations and bulletins which may be issued. By entering this event, you agree to comply with these rules.
EVENT: Victorian Sprint Kart Championships 2026
DATE(S): Saturday 28th and 29th November 2026
VENUE: Beckley Park International Raceway – 40 Broderick Rd, Corio, Vic, 3214
Bitumen surface, 1,001 metres long and 8 metres wide. All racing will be conducted in an anti-clockwise direction using the long-track configuration.

EVENT SCHEDULE:
There will be no pit set up until Friday 27th November from 9am strictly.
The GKC entrance office will be available for tyres from Friday morning 9am.
All tyres used during the event will be scanned for compliance. There will not be tyre pooling at this event but all tyres used must be able to be scanned.
One set of dry and one set of wet tyres will be able to be used for the duration of the event.
The use of any substance to enhance tyre performance in any way is prohibited.
Pit allocation will take place at the discretion of GKC officials.
Security will be provided for the complex Friday 27th and Saturday 28th November 2026.

Only classes that have a minimum of 8 entries by Sunday 22nd November 2026 will be offered.

- Gates Open 9.00am
- Standard Geelong track day for all GKC members
- Gates Close at 6pm as per normal.

Saturday 28th November 2026
- Gates open 7.00am
- Practise 9.00am until 6pm. GKC will manage practice sessions.

- ENTRIES AND CONFIRMATION – Entry confirmation will take place Saturday morning and afternoon. Announcements will be made at the track.
All competitors must have their own transponder to be able to enter event.
Competitors are responsible to ensure the transponder is registered, working and charged throughout the meeting.

Sunday 29th November 2026
- Gates Open 6.00 am
- Entry confirmation 6.30am to 7.30am in clubrooms.
- Drivers Briefing 7.50am under out grid cover.
- Qualifying 8.00am – 5 Minutes for each class.
- Heat One 8 Laps
- Pre Final 10 Laps
- Finals 14 Laps
Final only counts to determine State Champion.
Qualifying will give your start position for Heat 1.
Pre-final Starting position is determined by finishing position of Heat 1. Non finishers will be allocated a grid position based on the number of completed laps.
Final starting position is where you finished pre final. Non finishers will be allocated a grid position based on the number of completed laps.
Final only counts for overall order of result.
- Presentations Start 30 minutes after completion of final.
Top 3 place getters will receive trophies.

Winner of each class will receive a blue plate which can be used at GKC AASA events for the next 12 months or until winner of next years event has replaced them.

1. ENTRIES
- Entries can be submitted directly on the new online entry system which can be found on the GKC website on the homepage, top right hand corner. This must be completed on desktop or laptop computer and not a mobile phone.

1.1. This event is open to those competitors holding a current AASA, KA / KNSW Licence. Competitors must have a valid licence to display as requested by GKC officials.
ENTRY FEE $ 120 PER DRIVER PER CLASS
Only classes that have minimum 8 entries by Sunday 22nd November 2026 will be offered.

1.2 Payment must be completed as part of the pre-entry process. Cash payments will not be accepted at the event.

2. DRIVER APPAREL
2.1. Driver’s apparel shall be as specified AS PER GKC REGULATIONS - MUST BE FULLY COVERED AND AUSTRALIAN STANDARD FULL FACE HELMET. Gloves must be worn. Race suit must be worn.
3. SCRUTINEERING
Scrutineers may inspect any kart at any time in order to ensure safe operation of karts. Karts being in a safe operating condition are the responsibility of kart owners and drivers. A GKC scrutineering form must be completed and handed in at race entry confirmation.
Karts are not required to have cameras installed of any type. Can be used at driver’s discretion.

4. FACILITIES
a. Canteen will be open all race meeting.
b. Toilets have been cleaned and will be open for duration of event. Hand sanitiser is available in club rooms and all three toilets. Disabled toilet is operating also.
5. SMOKING
a. Smoking is not permitted within the GKC complex.
6. DRUGS & ALCOHOL
a. Consumption of alcoholic liquor by drivers or pit crew is forbidden prior to the completion of the meeting in accordance with GKC POLICIES. All drivers must have a BAC below 0.01. GKC does not sell alcohol of any type.
7. DRUG AND ALCOHOL TESTING
a. All competitors and officials are advised that random drug and alcohol testing may take place during the competition.
b. Any driver or crew member being found to be under the influence of alcohol or recreational drugs during the event will be excluded from the event, and further penalties may be imposed in accordance with the GKC POLICIES.
8. FUEL
a. BP Ultimate 98 Octane will be the control fuel for this race meet. This fuel must be purchased from BP Norlane located at 298-304 Princes Highway, Corio, Vic, 3214. Fuel testing will be conducted at this race meeting.
b. NO REFUELLING OR OILING CHAINS ON OUT GRID OR SEALED SURFACES


9. OTHER REGULATIONS
a. STRICTLY NO ENTRY TO CIRCUIT FOR COMPETITORS , PIT CREW OR ANY PERSON WHILST KARTS ARE ON TRACK INCLUDING PRACTICE TIMES.
b. ENTRY TO TRACK TO RETRIEVE KARTS REQUIRES THE WEARING OF SAFETY VEST WITH PERMISSION OF GRID MARSHALL.
c. STRICTLY NO PETS , SCOOTERS , BICYCLES , SKATE BOARDS OR ANY OTHER DEVICE DEEMED INAPPROPRIATE BY GKC OFFICIALS WILL BE ALLOWED INSIDE THE COMPLEX.
d. All Spectators must park as directed by GKC officials . No Spectators will be allowed to park vehicles within the Pit area of the competitors.
e. GKC reserves the right to reject any entry from any person. GKC reserves the right to refuse entry to the GKC complex to any person. GKC officials will ask any person behaving inappropriately to leave the complex and this person must comply. Poor behaviour of any type will not be tolerated.
f. Any changes required can and will be made to these supp regs by GKC officials as required.
g. All pitting will be at the direction of GKC officials as required for the good running of the event. All cars are to be unhitched from trailers and parked at the rear of the pit area marked “D” on track map.
h. Any person misrepresenting license status or any other identity requirement will be removed from competition and asked to leave the complex.

Reminder that Saturday 22nd is a specific Vintage /RKA practice day only. Track not available for any others on this day. Track opens as per normal again Sunday 9am. GKC entrance office is open Saturday for normal services.

Please note that this Saturday is a special Vintage / RKA karters practice day only. Gates open 9am. Normal practice resumes for members on Sunday morning.

Notice re large area beside our two existing grandstands will be concreted starting Monday morning. Works will be completed during the week and will not effect track access. Just give workers a wide birth and ensure children are well away from work site.
