🛟 EQUIPMENT AUDIT BOOKINGS ARE OPEN
Part of getting ready for the 2026–27 sailing season is ensuring your boat’s safety equipment audit is completed in accordance with Australian Sailing requirements.
This year, RGYC is returning to the Australian Sailing paper Equipment Audit Forms. Download and complete the relevant form, then book your audit for one of the next three weekends:
📅 Saturday 5 or Sunday 6 September
📅 Saturday 12 or Sunday 13 September
📅 Saturday 19 or Sunday 20 September
All boats must complete the appropriate audit before their first race of the season.

Australian Sailing is running both the dinghy and keelboat Instructor Courses at RGYC on 5 & 6 September 2026.
Led by an Australian Sailing Senior Instructor, the weekend is a great opportunity for experienced sailors to take the next step, become qualified and help more people discover the sport we love.
Whether you'd like to get involved with learn-to-sail, develop your instructing skills, or simply give something back to sailing, this is a rgeat place to start.

What a week. What a team. What a result! 🇦🇺👏⛵
We couldn’t be more proud of our Royal Geelong Yacht Club cadets after an incredible week at the 2026 Cadet World Championship on Lake Garda, Italy.
🥈 2nd – Will Garner and Jack O’Brien
🥉 3rd – Jack Benyan and Farrell Meegan
🏆 1st Promotional Fleet – Matilda Groves and Poppy Loftus (RYCV)
That’s two RGYC boats on the World Championship podium, plus a Promotional Fleet win. What an incredible result for our Cadet program!
A huge congratulations also goes to Rohan Turaga and Calin Went (ASC), Walter Howard and William Smith, who also represented RGYC with pride throughout the Championship.
And a massive congratulations to all of Team Australia on a fantastic campaign, along with coach Tony Bull, the support team and all the families behind the scenes who helped make it possible.
Congratulations, Cadets! We couldn’t be prouder.

Congratulations to our Cadet teams who are currently smashing goals over in Italy.
After Day 3 of racing William Garner and Jack O'Brien are placed 1st in the Cadet World Championship, with Jack Benyan and Farrell Meegan also in the Top 10, and Matilda Groves and Poppy Loftus ranking 4th in the Promotional Fleet.
