Well done !!

The last hunt of the Victorian Duck season left me and Teaka in quite a predicament.
Especially when the winch failed and wouldnt hold tension.
As soon as the tension was to much, it would peel back and spin like a snapper taking line off on a fishing reel.

On the shovel for a while and swearing and sweating up a storm
A call for help was needed.! 😆

Across the ditch, the S.A gents Mitchell Ellul and Daniel Pedler getting a few trophy birds On the last weekend of the Victorian Duck season.
They managed a few different species and a good harvest to take back home.

My last weekend for the 2026 season was focused on spending time with teaka and creating a few memories.
Paddocks and Lakes to a few dams with the gents from S.A.
I didnt care about pulling the trigger.
It fare to say the 12 year old is worn out

A few more on the Bucket list ticked off..
A slow day , but still managed to create some great memories for our friendly U.S hunters.

Do the miles , get the smiles they say. !!
Well this definatly happend..
From Texas to Aus and into the paddock
Theresa , Jeff and Randy made certain the got there daily limit each on the Honkers..

This is the photo I’ve been chasing all season.
Just me and the old girl, Teaka, picking a few out of the paddock. I could’ve kept going… but after the wait, she was struggling to keep her eyes open.
Long morning for a 12-year-old lab — and that mattered more.
This one wasn’t about numbers.
It was about slowing it down, soaking it in, and getting that one moment together.
Could very well be our last season doing this side by side .
