Some more pix from the NSW SC relay championships. Our team of 33 came 3rd - well done against Penrith and Blacktown who had the numbers! Steve ‘Top Hat’ Towner did a great job getting swimmers in the right place at the right time, so no MIAs! Good job ‘Buster’ as well for the relay picks. A long day, but fun! Thanks also to sponsors VegeChips and Pureau.

Fun, fitness and friendship in full force at the State Relay carnival last weekend.
33 Warringah swimmers took to the pool to compete, with several also helping to keep the chaos as organised as possible by timekeeping and officiating.
Special thanks to Steve Towner, captain for the day, keeping the relays teams on top of their events, heats and lanes and making sure no races were missed.
Congratulations to Penrith and Blacktown Masters Swimming Club on incredible team performances to come first and second, to Coogee Randwick Masters Swimming and Manly for rounding out the top 5, and all the other clubs that took part on the day.

Some pics from the State Long Distance Short Course was held yesterday at the Peninsula Leisure Centre, Woy Woy. A number of our swimmers went up Saturday and enyoyed dinner together at a pizza & pasta restaurant in Ettalong
Coming to the swimming (forethought or aftethought?) some good performances, however Blacktown had the largest contingent and worthy winners.
Certainly a memory test - especially the 1500s! Apologies for so few pics as your correspondent was officiating when not swimming ( along with Helen, Julia, Charmaine, Ray and Tony T)
Congratulations to Abel Bornstein on his State / Branch record for 1500 Breastroke!👏👏👏
Age group placingings (1st to 3rd) for Michel Le Vieux, Charmaine Groppler, Sue Chalmers, Julia Atkins, Abel Bornstein and Graham Campbell.
Thanks as usual for sponsor support from Vege Chips

A small contingent headed to Nationals - all too busy swimming for photos but Steve Towner reported: “Well, for me, there were plenty of "special" moments. Cam McEvoy's swims and the time he spent having photos and signing autographs. The standard of swimming across all age groups - male and female. The comradery between all clubs and states. Queensland swimming was exceptional. But the absolute highlight was being a part of the Warringah team. The support, encouragement and friendship was a joy to be a part of.”
Thanks to our principal sponsor Vege Chips for their support of our training programs!

Catch up report on the Mingara Pelicans carnival where only a small Warringah contingent competed. Still, three placegetters: Helen White a 1st in her age group, a 2nd for John de Vries and 3rd for Rowan Jacob. Our two relay teams - Mixed 200+ and Mixed 280+ came 2nd in their age groups. Well done all. Thanks as always to our principal sponsor Vege Chips and also pureauaustralia.
We like to think that our Tuesday evening sprint sessions are only for the most serious, competition-focused members.
That apparently is not the case. Come and try it out if you want to feel Super Human 🦹♀🦸♂️
