Adrián Adrian!!!! So many emotions over the last month knowing our time with you in Australia was getting less each day. As a coach, you have been present, patient and so positive every single session. You have always strived to get the best out of each gymnast and coach that worked with you. You have shown our gymnasts, empathy, compassion and motivated them to be the best they possibly could be. Giving them that extra bit of belief when they weren’t quite sure, you have shown the girls what support, kindness and respect looks like.

As a gym, we are so sad to see you go, but we are also, excited to hear about your new life in Switzerland. They are so lucky to be gaining a coach like you, and we are so very grateful for the time we had with you! Don’t be a stranger, you’ve promised the girls a return trip when you hit 100k followers 😅

At Aussie Gems our culture has changed.

We meet our gymnasts where they are at, not as a group, but individually. We are working on building strong bodies and positive mindsets, where our girls believe in themselves and in each other. They celebrate and lift each other up through the hard moments. We are teaching to focus on what we want as individuals, not to try be better then anyone else, but be better then we were yesterday.

As coaches, we are there, celebrating all the small victories and moments with them. Our job is making the small wins, the stepping stones, to the big moments.

Coaching young athletes is a privilege that we don’t take for granted, because our lessons we teach the girls, go far beyond the gym. Kindness towards each other, being patient with ourselves and learning every time we “fail” at a skill, it’s just a step towards success, changing, correcting, getting up after falling down, gymnastics is far more then a sport, it’s one big life lesson that takes us beyond the gym doors.

Together we learn, together we grow, together we lead! Creating leaders for our future generation. That’s what we are about at Aussie Gems 💎

So proud of all of our gymnasts who competed this weekend in their first state trial! For many this was their first “real” competition! All shone in their own light, showing us resilience, confidence and determination, which for us, at Aussie Gems, is what we care most about!

To our gymnasts, we are so blessed to be your coaches, and guide you on your gymnastics journey!
