At Frankston Life Saving Club we strive to provide an enjoyable and safe environment for our members

The Frankston foreshore is patrolled by volunteer lifesavers on most weekends and public holidays between November and April. Lifesavers can be recognised by their red & yellow uniform and are only on duty when the red & yellow flags are displayed.

Congratulations to Katelyn who represented Victoria at the Australian Pool Lifesaving Championships in Perth last weekend👏

Katelyn’s individual results in the Championships included:
🥇1st place in the CPR Competition
🥉3rd place in the 200m Obstacle Race

Katelyn was also part of the teams that earned Victoria 1x silver and 2x bronze medals in the relay events🥈🥉🥉

On top of that, Katelyn was one of the recipients of Royal Life Saving Society Australia’s ‘Team of the Year’ awards, which is awarded to athletes who demonstrate exceptional speed and skill across a range of events at the Championships.

This was Katelyn’s first year competing in pool lifesaving competitions so these are some seriously incredible results. We cannot wait to see what more she achieves in years to come. Well done, Katelyn👏

IRB RACING

Round 4 of the TRE Motorsport IRB Racing Premiership Series took place at Ocean Grove over the weekend and what a busy 2 days it was! A different format was used for this carnival, with heats and quarterfinals taking place on Saturday and semis and finals taking place on Sunday - meaning both days were action packed for every member of our team💥

Our team were in 12 out of 17 finals on Sunday, finishing up 4TH OVERALL in the U23 competition and 6TH OVERALL in the Open competition🔥🔥

The team were also set to bring home some serious points in the Open Mixed Relay before Team Manager Tim had a little too much fun sending it over the waves…… (see last slide)

📸 Thanks to the amazing Sheila and Julie Begg Photography for these awesome photos, and to TGI Fridays Frankston Frankston, Mornington & Westernport Ford and Sims and Finn Chiropractic Frankston for their ongoing sponsorship🙏🏼

The team is now preparing to make the trek to Port Fairy over the long weekend for the U23 State Championships and Round 5 of the Premiership Series. We can’t wait to watch them smash it (hopefully not literally this time) once again🌟

🌟U18 LEADERSHIP CAMP🌟

Over the weekend, three of our youth patrollers attended the U18 Leadership Development Camp in Somers. This LSV camp gave young members the opportunity to develop their leadership skills and to learn, share and network with likeminded young lifesavers from across Victoria.

When asked what her favourite thing about the camp was, Pippa said:
💭”My favourite things were being able to make connections with people from other clubs, and learning how they do things differently and how I can put that into action in my own patrolling.”💭

We are so proud of Pippa, Daisy and Maeve for being such fantastic representatives of Frankston LSC and we can’t wait to see the positive impact their learnings have on our club👏

NATIONAL VOLUNTEER WEEK

This week - and every week - we are grateful for the outstanding work our volunteers do to keep the community safe and to make our club the fantastic place it is💙❤️

Every summer, our volunteer lifesavers dedicate thousands of hours to keeping Frankston Beach visitors safe. This is on top of the many, many hours they spend training, attending courses, undertaking practical assessments, completing online modules, and helping others develop their knowledge and skills📝

But our lifesavers are not the only volunteers in our club! We are also incredibly grateful for all the members who provide water safety for our nippers program and community events, our nippers Age Managers, our sausage turners and BBQ assistants, our parent helpers, our carnival officials, sport coaches, team managers, course trainers, and all of our Board and LSVj Committee members who give up much of their spare time to keep our club moving.

From the bottom of our hearts, THANK YOU to each and every one of our volunteers. Your selflessness and dedication to our club does not go unnoticed and we appreciate every single minute you donate to our club🙏🏼

We can’t wait to see you all for our official Thank You Night on 30 May 2026 to celebrate properly🙌
