πŸ’― 100 games. Four legends. One club.

The weekend wasn't just about the wins (or losses 😒) ... it was about celebrating FOUR Stingers who officially joined the 100-game club. πŸ‘πŸ’™πŸ’›

A massive congratulations to Deakin, Kobi, Jason & Benji on reaching the incredible milestone of 100 games for Frankston Hockey Club.

100 games of commitment, teammates becoming family, unforgettable moments, and proudly pulling on the navy and yellow. Milestones like this don't happen by accidentβ€”they're earned through dedication, loyalty, and showing up week after week.

Thank you for everything you've given to the club so far. We can't wait to see what the next 100 games bring!

If you see the boys around the club this week, give them a high five, buy them a drink, or at the very least remind them they're now officially club veterans. πŸ™ŒπŸ»

Help us celebrate by dropping a πŸ’™πŸ’› in the comments for Deakin, Kobi, Jason & Benji!

🚨 The forced holiday is over... back to business. 🚨

The juniors are still living the dream with another week off, while the seniors have remembered they actually play hockey... and this week they're doing it ALL. AT. HOME. πŸ’™πŸ’›

πŸ‘ Saturday
πŸ•§ 12:30pm – WVLR (still undefeated... no pressure 😏)
πŸ•‘ 2:00pm – WVL
πŸ•ž 3:30pm – MVL
πŸ•” 5:00pm – MVLR (currently sitting on top of the ladder πŸ‘€)
πŸ•‘ 6:30pm – WMS (quietly going about their business near the pointy end)

πŸ‘ Sunday
πŸ•š 11:00am – MPD
πŸ•§ 12:30pm – MM1 (also flying high this season πŸ’ͺ)
πŸ•‘ 2:00pm – MM2

Eight home games. One canteen. Plenty of questionable sideline coaching. Hopefully some sunshine... although this is Melbourne, so pack sunscreen, a raincoat, and maybe a beanie just to be safe.

Whether you're cheering, umpiring, volunteering, or just turning up for a hot jam donut and pretending you're "supporting the club"... we'll take it.

Get down to PHC, make some noise, and let's turn home turf into the toughest place to play.

πŸ‘ JSC 2026 U14 & U16 βœ”οΈ

Three days of tough competition, plenty of learning, and a fantastic opportunity for our juniors to test themselves against the best players from across the state.

A huge congratulations to Deakin Green, who represented in the U14s, along with Mikey Barkell and Josh "Chucky" Norris coaching and helping develop the next generation of talent. πŸ‘πŸ’™πŸ’›

Think you've got what it takes? U18 JSC trials are this Sunday! If you're eligible, get your name down and give yourself the chance to represent your zone, challenge yourself, and grow your game.

JSC is an incredible experience, both on and off the field, and a great way to build confidence, make new mates, and develop as a player.

πŸ‘ Missing your hockey fix this weekend? We've got you covered.

The U14s & U16s are back in action as they continue their JSC campaigns across Parkville and Footscray, while our Men's Vic League Reserves finally get to play their rescheduled clash against MHSOB.

If you've got a spare couple of hours, grab a coffee, rug up, and get around the Stingrays.

Your cheers from the sidelines might just be worth a goal or two... or at least make the opposition wonder why we're so loud. πŸ’™πŸ’›

See you there! πŸ‘

πŸ’™πŸ’› Our U12 Stingrays are flying at JSC! πŸ’›πŸ’™

Day 1 is done, and our young guns are putting on a show!

⭐ Brooke Power has been absolutely unstoppable, banging in 6 goals as her team sits 2nd after the opening day.

πŸ‘ Aston Frew and Charlie Daley have helped their side finish Day 1 in 5th place.

πŸ’ͺ Patrick Niggendyker is also sitting 2nd with his team after a strong start.

πŸ”₯ And a special shout-out to Harvey Cameron, proudly representing the Flames.

We love seeing our Stingrays making the most of every opportunity!

Best of luck to all our juniors with more games today. Play hard, enjoy every minute, and make Frankston proud! πŸ’™πŸ‘

🚨 Training This Week 🚨

We've organised a weekend off for everyone...

By "we", we mean Hockey Victoria... but we'll happily take the credit. 😏

Don't get too excited though... training is still on!

πŸ‘ Women's Training
πŸ“… Wednesday | ⏰ 7:00–8:30pm

πŸ‘ Men's Training
πŸ“… Thursday | ⏰ 7:00–8:30pm

πŸ‘ Juniors Enjoy the week off!

No club games this weekend doesn't mean no hockey. Get down to the JSC and cheer on our Stingers as they represent Frankston. They'd love a loud blue and yellow crowd behind them... and you get to enjoy hockey without the cardio. Our MVLR are also playing a rescheduled game against MHSOB at MHS . Sounds like a win-win. πŸ’™πŸ’›

🎢 Who Did It Better? πŸ‘€

The Women's Ressies and Men's Metro 1 are making a habit of collecting wins... and belting out the club song afterwards. πŸ’™πŸ’›

Both teams reckon their version was louder, prouder and far less out of tune (debatable). πŸŽ€πŸ˜‚

Now it's over to the experts...
πŸ‘‡ Who sang the club song better this week?

πŸ’™ Women's Ressies
πŸ’› Men's Metro 1

Drop your vote in the comments and prepare to defend your choice... preferably without starting a club civil war. πŸ˜…πŸŽΆ

Late nights. Cold mornings. Rain, hail or shine.

While most people are still deciding whether it's too cold to leave the house, our Juniors are already out thereβ€”training, playing, laughing, learning and giving it everything they've got.

Every early start, every wet sock and every freezing sideline is building more than hockey players. It's building confidence, resilience, friendships and a lifelong love of our game.

We're incredibly proud of every one of our junior Stingrays, along with the parents, coaches and volunteers who make it all possible.

The future of our club is looking pretty bright... even if the weather isn't. πŸ’™πŸ’›πŸ‘

πŸŽ‰ TRIVIA NIGHT: DONE & DUSTED! πŸŽ‰

What a night! A massive thank you to everyone who came along, supported the club, bought raffle tickets, bid on silent auction items and threw their spare change at every gold coin game we could come up with. Your support makes a huge difference and helps keep our club thriving.

πŸ† Congratulations to 50 Shades of Green Cards on taking out the title and proving they either know a lot of random facts... or are very good at guessing.

πŸ₯ˆ Honourable mention to Lasagne Tsar, who came a very close second and also took out the unofficial award for 'Most Answers Purchased in a Single Evening' πŸ˜†

A huge thank you to Kate Holt, Michelle Pickford and the crew for all their hard work behind the scenes organising another fantastic event. These nights don't happen without countless hours of planning, organising and running around making sure everything goes smoothly.

And of course, a massive thank you to all our local businesses, sponsors and generous club members who donated prizes and auction items. Your support is incredible and we'll be tagging all of our donors in the comments so please show them some love. ❀️

Great people, plenty of laughs, questionable trivia knowledge and another successful club night in the books.

Most importantly, it proved once again that hockey people are competitive about absolutely everything.

Until next year... start studying random facts now. πŸ“šπŸ˜‚

πŸ‘πŸŒ΄ State Team? More like State-Sponsored Holiday πŸŒ΄πŸ‘

A huge congratulations to BT, Mikey, Waxey & Grenny on being selected in their respective Masters State Teams! πŸ‘πŸ’™πŸ’›

Months of hard work, dedication and commitment have finally paid off... with a trip to the Gold Coast from 24 September to 10 October. Conveniently timed to include sunshine, beach walks, coffee by the water and, somewhere in between, a bit of hockey. πŸ˜‰

All jokes aside, it's a fantastic achievement to earn selection and represent Victoria on the national stage. The club is incredibly proud of you all and can't wait to see the navy and yellow represented at the highest level.

Good luck lads β€” do us proud, and remember: the tan lines are optional, the hockey is not. β˜€οΈπŸ‘πŸ˜Ž
