Suddenly the ponies aren’t so forward 😁

Adore this little mare, Aspen is starting to explore riding on her own (or with Arya and LJ) 💕
Definitely worse things she could be doing ☺️

Those proud moments where you realise you only need 56,000 more transitions, and $1.2mil more in lessons to finally get good 🫠

Thank god for patient ponies 💕

Whimsy, I think may be a buckskin pearl purebred filly (I did not test for agouti 🫣).

I have arrived at the ‘end’ of the season where some decisions have to be made.
Poppy (Glenbogyl Park Southern Cross IIU) is now 17yrs old, having had 4 foals (one deceased). I have had a c**t (Loki) by Clarion Call Fisher Price, one filly (Primrose) from her by YKW Rhaegar, and a c**t (Wh**ky) by Hermits Twilight Dusk (now a weanling).
I had desperately hoped that last c**t would be a filly. I do not have access to her first c**t, who was sold with retained services, and do not wish to keep another c**t. This makes Primrose the only offspring I have to go on with from her.
So what to do…
The market has been so poor, that selling a stallion quality c**t as a gelding for 6k (as a coming 4yr old) was hard work. I’ve never bred big numbers, my largest to date was 6 foals including Oona’s import in dam foal, by Rio. Those numbers are not about to change but what is the point of breeding, when the market is unwilling to come even remotely close to covering the costs to produce such foals?

The girls had a great day. LJ too 😅
