Last week, a group of our Year 9 students swapped the classroom for the worksite, taking part in a three-day Try a Trade experience at Skill Hire as part of our Career Taster Program.

Accompanied by our Design & Technology teachers, students rolled up their sleeves and gained hands-on experience in the building and construction industry, working together to construct brick walls and a gazebo structure.

The experience gave students a valuable taste of what a future career in the trades could look like, while developing practical skills, teamwork and confidence along the way.

A fantastic three days, with all students getting involved, having a great time and representing the College with pride. 👏

Last week, the Water Corporation returned for the third year in a row to deliver its fantastic Waterwise Experience to all Year 7 HaSS students.

Using silent-disco technology, students tuned in—quite literally—to learn about Perth’s water use and discover practical ways we can all live more sustainably.

An engaging and inclusive experience that certainly made a splash!

We’re excited to congratulate former student Brooklyn Gurbiel on signing with McCook Community College in Nebraska, USA, where she will continue her basketball journey at the collegiate level.

Brooklyn's achievement is a fantastic example of where dedication and hard work can lead, and an exciting reminder to our aspiring athletes that opportunities can extend well beyond the school court.

For our current Darling Range Sports College students dreaming of taking their sport further, Brooklyn's journey shows just what is possible when you Dare to Dream and put in the work to get there!

Brooklyn, congratulations on this exciting next chapter. We wish you every success as you take your basketball and education journey to the USA!

What better way to start the week than by shining the spotlight on one of our brave students!

Darling Range Sports College student Chelsea Williams is taking part in the Leukaemia Foundation’s World’s Greatest Shave, raising vital funds to support Australians living with blood cancer and their families.

Chelsea set herself a fundraising goal of $560 and has already smashed it! 👏
Now, we’d love to see our Darling Range community get behind her and help take that total even further.

Taking on the World’s Greatest Shave takes courage, but what makes Chelsea’s efforts particularly special is the reason behind them. She has chosen to do something meaningful to help others and raise awareness for a cause that impacts so many Australian families.

Every donation, big or small, will help Chelsea add to her fundraising total and support the important work of the Leukaemia Foundation.
