🔴⚪️🔴 100 Game Milestone ⚪️🔴⚪️
The week of milestones continues on this very special Naidoc round with Mitchell Merritt playing game 100 for the Falcons!!
Mitch is held in the highest regard by everyone at our club and in the broader community. He is a leader and a mentor to many but has a really positive impact over our colts players alongside his brother Zac.
While being very calm and measured off field, once he crosses the white line he lets it all go! He hits hard, never shirks a contest and always finds time and space to use his skills to great effect, Mitch can play anywhere and is equally effective on all three lines.
If you have ever watched or played alongside Mitch it is obvious his love for the game, this club and his teammates, a player that always has your back 💪🏻😉
We are so proud of you Mitch, congratulations on achieving your 100th on such a special round so close to your heart!
A perfect way to celebrate 🫶

🔴⚪️🔴 50 Game Milestone ⚪️🔴⚪️
Another one of our ladies clocking up 50 Forrestdale games this weekend, Congratulations to Tahni Vizzari!
Tahni started at the club as one of our best forwards, blessed with a great mark and a kick to match, it seemed she would add to her goal kicking trophies in the seasons to follow…. But when the team needed someone to help out down back, Tahni found a new home, she has become a great defender, regularly out marking her opponents, winning her one on ones and laying some huge tackles to top it off.
Tahni brings a wealth of experience and knowledge for our younger players and leads by example both on and off the field, and its has been great to have you back at the club and playing some awesome footy!!
Congrats Tahni, hope you have a great game and I’m sure Phynix will be super proud watching mum this weekend 🫶

🖤💛❤️Inaugural Ninyette Medal 🖤💛❤️
For the first time in our club’s history, Forrestdale Football Club is proud to introduce the Ninyette Medal, awarded to the Best on Ground in our League match during our annual NAIDOC Round.
In another first for the club, Best on Ground medals will also be presented across all grades this weekend as we celebrate NAIDOC Week and recognise the incredible contribution of Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander people to our club and the game we love.
The Ninyette Medal has been named in honour of the Ninyette family, whose connection to Forrestdale Football Club spans generations.
Their contribution both on and off the field has been extraordinary.
Family members were part of our 2007 premiership side, while the next generation has continued that legacy, playing key roles in our premiership successes in 2019, 2021 and 2024. Collectively, the Ninyette family has played more games for Forrestdale than any other Indigenous family in the club’s history.
Their impact extends far beyond football.
In 2023, Wayne Ninyette Snr designed our club’s Indigenous jumper, creating a piece that proudly tells a story of connection, culture and community, and one that our players continue to wear with pride.
The medal itself has been thoughtfully designed by the Ninyette family.
It represents not only their own journey and legacy, but also pays tribute to all Aboriginal and Torres Strait Islander players who have represented Forrestdale Football Club. It symbolises resilience, family, culture, connection to Country, and the lasting impact Indigenous people continue to have on our club. It is a reminder that football brings people together, strengthens communities, and provides an opportunity to celebrate and share culture with pride.
We are incredibly honoured to have the Ninyette family’s name attached to this award, a family that is very highly respected around our club and within the community.

NAIDOC ROUND - 18th JULY 🖤💛❤️
Our Ladies - The Queens of Forrestdale 👑
For the second consecutive year, our women’s team is incredibly proud to wear the Indigenous jumper designed by our very own Korishna Derschow.
Designed with inspiration from the Noongar Six Seasons, every colour reflects the Country we play on and the changing seasons that shape our journey as a club.
At the heart of the design are symbols representing our men’s and women’s teams coming together as one family on our meeting place—the oval.
Surrounding them are hands, representing the supporters, volunteers and community who stand beside us and make our club what it is.
What makes this jumper even more special is that it tells Krishy’s own story. Having started her football journey as a junior at Forrestdale, she designed a jumper that captures what the club means to her—family, belonging, resilience and community.
Korishna’s artwork has become a meaningful part of who we are, and we are honoured to wear it once again.
Our ladies kick off this massive round next Saturday 18th July at 9.30am, see you then!

NAIDOC ROUND - 18th JULY 🖤💛❤️
This year, as we proudly wear our NAIDOC guernseys for the second time, we’re reminded that legacies don’t just belong to the past, they need to be lived.
Many Indigenous guernseys feature traditional artworks and symbolic patterns. Ours is different.
Our mens guernsey showcases a landscape painted by the late Troy Jones—a reflection of the way he saw his Country, his connection to it and the deep love he held for his culture and his people.
Every time we wear it We carry Troy’s story, honour his legacy and celebrate the world’s oldest living culture with pride and respect.
What began as a tribute has become part of our club’s identity. This guernsey is a reminder that football can connect people, preserve stories and create a legacy that reaches far beyond the game.
Huge thankyou to Zac- Top Tier Roofing - WA for sponsoring this amazing round.
We appreciate you!!

Comin in hot for the weekend..
The man, the myth, the legend, the pest 😅Cam Vizzari plays his 50th Forrestdale game tomorrow!!!!
If you want to see 100% commitment to the team, to the club and of course to the goal celebration this is one not to be missed.
Much loved by all, strong and skillfull, puts his body on the line, great hands and a dead eye in front of goal, always plays on instinct and finishes his work.
Vizz is the epitome of what every club needs, a voice, a laugh, a shoulder or lift to training. He is a great clubman❤️🤍
Congrats Vizz, I know you will give us something special tomorrow, you always do, that next PFL moment of the year is coming 🫶🫶
