🥜 Meet the Peanut. Your upper back’s tiny evil bestie.

10 years of painfully effective self-massage, helping downregulate tension + improve movement access through the upper back & shoulders.

uses this technique with pole dancers, aerialists, hand balancers, flexibility students + rehab patients - especially before mobility work or after intense training.

Painful? Rudely. Effective? Absolutely. 😂🔥

Not every trick is meant for every body — and that’s the tea ☕️

Your body isn’t “bad” at pole because you can’t get a move… sometimes the trick just isn’t built for your body. We all have different anatomy, proportions, strengths, and natural biases that shape how movement shows up for us.

So if something feels off, looks messy, or doesn’t quite click, it’s not automatically a technique issue. It can simply be a mismatch between the demand of the skill and what your body is designed to do.

You don’t need to force a shape just because someone else can access it.

So here’s your reminder: just because you can or want to doesn’t always mean you should/are able to.

Do you identify as neurodivergent? Find it hard to settle on an activity that really speaks to you, and gives you what you need, with a community that supports diversity and creativity?

The world of pole and aerial has a multitude of benefits for neurodivergent individuals.

If you’re training hard but feeling worse the “fitter” you get… this is your sign to look at your fuelling 👀

This isn’t just fatigue. This isn’t “part of the grind.” This is what under-fuelling looks like. And it catches up every. single. time.

You cannot out-train low energy availability.
Not with caffeine.
Not with discipline.
Not with pushing harder.

Eventually your body will force you to slow down through:
😴 fatigue that sleep doesn’t fix
📉 declining performance
❤️‍🩹 poor recovery
😑 mood changes
🤤 increased hunger
💊 hormonal disruption
🤕 injury

💡 Here’s the part people don’t like hearing: Sometimes the problem isn’t your training… it’s that you’re not eating enough to support it.

The solution isn’t always “do less”. We need to instead wat enough for the work you’re asking your body to do, prioritise recovery like it matters (because it does), use food as a tool for performance, not something to restrict, and listen early, before your body forces you to listen later!

Because being under-fuelled doesn’t make you tough. It makes you slower, weaker, more fatigued and far more likely to burn out.

Your body can only perform at the level you support it 💜
