Just in case you missed one of our occasional Instagram posts or somehow forgot to mark the studio’s birthday in the calendar at the start of the year..
Fear not. We got you!
We’re celebrating.
Celebrating the end of Winter.
Celebrating the last 10 years.
And celebrating the many cool cats we get to call, Northsiders.
Whether you are still training with us, have in the past or simply just like the idea of a new pretty-cool-tee.. here’s your chance.
This 90’s styled band concerts meets NBA Championship Tee was designed by the master, Lachlan Philp from Weekdays
It’s up for grabs via preorder until this Sunday.. after which the opportunity is GONE!
You can grab one (and a ticket to our 10 Year Soirée on the 23rd of October) via the link in our bio 💁♂️
With only 3 weeks out from race day the puzzle pieces are coming together 🧩
Playing the game of steadiness and consistency over chasing down PBs and Strava records have proven to be the recipe of choice atm. And it lools like its working.
Sunday is a long BRICK session (Ride ➡️ Run) 2.5hrs finding some hills (Em leading after Nat got them lost last weekend 😂) into a 15km run.
Will the legs hold out? Will the head play nice? Will they get lost again? Time will tell.
🇫🇷 bonne chance
When it all started.
10 years ago we got the keys, the lease, the bastard of a roller door and an opportunity to create something different.
Here’s our first story. A little insight into what the early years looked like.
On Friday the 23rd of October we’re celebrating 10 Years of Northside with our Fairfield Soiree down at Curious Alice (A wicked function space opposite Fairfield Station).
If you’ve been involved with the original Pride Athletic or our second (and current) edition called Northside Movement - we’ve love to celebrate with you.
Tickets available via the link in bio.
Oh.. and if you can’t make THE SOIREE - there is also a limited edition Not Done Yet T-Shirt available via pre-order until the end of August!

Are you getting old or did you stop being youthful?
Maybe that ageing feeling popped up when you stopped.
Stopped moving like you used to.
Stopped prioritising the stuff that makes you feel good.
Stopped turning up to do the necessary work on your self.
The problem wasn’t the calendar.
It’s a problem caused by inaction.
Swipe through.
(For anyone blaming the years..)

This December, we’ll be turning 10.
And because we’re eager beavers.. plus one of us is a deprived Sagittarian with a birthday far too close to Christmas.. we know December is NOT the time to throw another party.
So we’re bringing our birthday earlier. And we’d love to celebrate with you all.
Almost 10 years ago we poured all of our money, our energy and our ability to stay up when it’s dark into this studio and never could we have imagined what would unfold from there.
We now have an incredibly caring team. (And 1 spot left for Chambo ✌🏼 )
The studio is decked out to the brim with some of the best equipment around.
And the best bit about all of it?
A third space for all of us to share — where we can continue this get strong, live well, kick arse journey together.
And that deserves a proper celebration.
On Friday the 23rd of October, we have booked Curious Alice for the Fairfield Soiree.
A night to celebrate all of us. The humans of Northside.
This is a night for anyone that has played, sweated or shared in any of the Northside magic over the last 10 years.
On top of the night of nights, Lachlan Philp from Weekdays has created a limited edition 10 Year T-Shirt available for pre-order until the end of August.
Here are the details.

🇫🇷 Soooo…
We can confirm Nat & Em are still working their arses off in preparation for the 70.3 World Championships in Nice which are only 4 weeks away!!!
Content on the other hand.. well.. let’s just say this last video took a week to both self critique, then edit.. and now publish.
Where are the girls at?
Both are in stellar form and locked in on getting better on the bike and building running legs which will keep them moving forwards.
This years bike course? The equivalent of riding up a Mount Buffalo in the first half of the ride.
And the run? Well, the Europeans seem to have a totally different definition of flat, so there’s plenty of work to be done. We learned this in Finland in 2023.
From here, we’ll be aiming for the following:
✅️ 4 x Rides Per Week
✅️ 4 x Runs Per Week (Includes 1 short run off the bike)
✅️ 1 x Swim
✅️ 2 x Strength Sessions
In the game of gains (aka betterment), volume matters.
And right now, we’re seeing plenty of volume and a whole lot of gains.
Oh. And if you’re around on Sunday the 30th and want to join in for one of Nat & Em’s final training sessions, we’ll be hitting the Boulie at 8am for either a lap by foot (13.5km) or 2 laps by bike (27km) before a coffee or two.
En Avant (Onwards).

Wowie.
We rallied for the rally and had a really good time!
26 motivated humans turned up to get involved and 80ish minutes later.. we had successfully done it.
100 Miles of Concept2 Australia Rowing & Skiing.
And we managed to pull together a few hundred dollar bucks to send over to the United For Venezuela crew in support of the rebuild.
To keep things spicy on the workout front, we created 2 teams.
Tacos & Burritos.
Each team started with 2 skierg’s and 2 rowers.. all loaded with 20,000m.
The rules were simple.
Change whenever you want*
*However.. when Breathe by Prodigy, Sandstorm by Darude and Rockefeller skank by Fatboy slim come on.. it’s all in for 20 stroke sprints until the song ends.
The burritos managed to successfully break 3 skierg’s with raw, wild power but somehow still came up victorious by finishing their 80km on 4 rowers.
Thank you for showing up.
And thank you for supporting a cause that means a truckload to Yves M - who means a truckload to us.
You are seriously all legends.
And I’m also seriously bloody zonked.
The last time we ran the 100 Mile Rally..
There was moments of excruciating muscle burn..
Plenty of sweat aka liquid success..
And even a half way shot of Fireball to help us get the job done (true story).
Call us weird (or cool) but rolling turns on the rowers for 3 hours at top speed was kind of.. fun 🤷♂️
Given tomorrow morning’s edition starts at 9am, it’s probably a little early for the Fireball.
What it’s not a little early for, is your late registration after sitting on the fence wondering if you could survive such a thing.
And here we are to tell you, not only will you almost definitely, most certainly, probably survive such a thing..
We’d go as far to say that you’ll probably freaking love it.
If you have no idea what we’re banging on about, tomorrow morning we’re jumping into our 6th event in the 10FOR10 Event Series.
It’s called the 100 Mile Rally.
There will be 8 machines (4 Rowers + 4 Skiergs) loaded up with 20,000m on each.
After the obligatory Ready, Set, Go.. we’ll pull turns until all of the machines are at 0m. Should take 80 minutes (or there about).
We’re also doing it to raise some moula to support our fellow Northsider Yves and the Unite For Venezuela GoFundMe.
So, here’s your chance. Your shot.
You can book in to participate in the event by going to the link in our bio and clicking Unite - 100 Mike Rally.
And if you can’t make the event but wanted to donate to the Unite For Venezuela GoFundMe - You’ll also find the link to do that in our bio.
And for some strange reason.. and if you’re still on the fence. Here’s a video from last years Rally.
You know it’s going to be a good time - fireball or not.
Get involved!
P.S. has anyone seen Amanda Taylor - she used to do these kinds of things?😉

10 FOR 10 EVENT SERIES
Event Six
UNITE - 100 Mile Rally
The 100 Mile Rally is making a comeback and this time.. we’re going to go BIG.
4 Rowers.
4 Skiergs.
All loaded to 20,000m.
With the collective goal for the group of motivated individuals to get it done in style.
We’ll be rolling turns until everyone of the machines reaches zero and at the end..
You’ll feel awesome for 80 (ish) minutes of cardio centred interval work..
And you’ll get yourself a smoothie for your efforts 💁♂️
Not only will we be coming together for all of the good that comes with successfully working with others to tackle something that tests us.
We will also be using the session as a way to raise funds for The Unite For Venezuela GoFundMe and helping support our fellow Northsider Yves M do his bit for his loved ones back home.
The challenge is open to anyone willing to play and keen to get involved.
The donations are optional and 100% of all proceeds from the session will be donated.
Book in for the challenge on Momence or via the link in our bio!
