Kristy Rose Academy of Dance offers classes in RAD Classical Ballet, Contemporary, Lyrical, Jazz, Tap, Acro. Whether your child is dancing just for fun or wishes to pursue examinations or compete on stage we have what your looking for. We also offer 6 annual scholarships giving winners one years free tuition along with our Annual Gala and many competitions throughout each year.

Term 3 is complete.

Across the studio, dancers have prepared for exams, learned choreography, worked through corrections and kept turning up through one of the busiest parts of the year.

We are proud of the progress, but even more proud of the way this community has carried the term together. Enjoy the break.

Term 3 has asked a lot of our dancers. School has been busy, exam preparation has intensified, and gala work has continued alongside everything else.

The students who kept showing up have built more than technique. They have built reliability, focus and the ability to keep working when the excitement of a new term has worn off.

Sometimes progress is easy to miss because it happens in tiny pieces. A correction is repeated for weeks, then one day the dancer applies it before anyone needs to ask.

That moment might last only a few seconds, but it changes everything that comes after it.

Layla is one of our wonderful Senior students and has been part of the Kristy Rose family since 2021. Starting with Lyrical, her love of dance has continued to grow, and she now attends Jazz, Lyrical, Contemporary, Ballet and Competitive classes with her favourite class being Lyrical! Layla – “I love performing Lyrical as I can really express my emotions”.

Layla is a natural leader who brings such positive energy to the studio. She is always willing to step forward to help her friends and peers and is keen to be involved in all things dance. Her enthusiasm, commitment and strong work ethic make her such a valued member of our academy.

There is a lot that happens between arriving at the studio and stepping into class. Friends save each other a seat. Older dancers help younger students. Someone always knows where the missing shoe ended up.

These small moments are part of growing up in a dance community too. And we couldn't be prouder of our amazing students and the community we have built together.

Confidence before an exam rarely looks dramatic. It looks like knowing the order without waiting for a prompt, recovering quickly when something slips, and walking into the room ready to show the work.

September is here, and Term 3 has moved into its final stretch. The studios feel settled now. Choreography is taking shape, exam work is becoming more precise, and students are arriving knowing exactly what they are working towards.

This is not the loudest part of the year, but it is where consistency starts becoming visible.
