🚨 OVERSTRIDING KILLS POWER 🚨

One of the biggest mistakes we see in young athletes is reaching too far with the front foot.

When your foot lands in front of your hips, it acts like a brake. You lose momentum, spend longer on the ground, and reduce the force you can put back into the next stride.

✅ Land under your hips
✅ Stay powerful
✅ Spend less time on the ground
✅ Accelerate faster

Speed isn't about taking bigger steps—it's about taking more powerful, efficient steps.

We focus on teaching athletes to sprint with the right mechanics so they can move faster, become more explosive, and transfer those gains to game day.

Train smart. Move efficiently. Perform at your best.

🥋🏆 DOUBLE GOLD FOR TEHYA! 🏆🥋

What an incredible achievement by Tehya at the MCH Championships, taking home 🥇 Gold in Kata and 🥇 Gold in Kumite!

In Term 2 we've been working on developing her acceleration, speed, and explosive power—qualities that have transferred directly onto the mats. Faster reactions, more explosive techniques, and greater athleticism have all played a role in her success.

Tehya is a perfect example of why being a multi-sport athlete is so valuable. Building athleticism across different sports develops speed, power, coordination, and confidence that carries over into competition.

We're incredibly proud of your hard work and dedication.

Looking forward to Tehya join us in term 3💙⚡

Strength + Speed = Lower Injury Risk
💪⚡

One of the biggest myths in youth sport is that injuries are just "bad luck."
While no athlete is injury-proof, research shows that athletes who are stronger, faster, and better conditioned are better equipped to cope with the physical demands of sport.

Research by Malone et al. (2018) found that athletes with:
✅ Greater lower-body strength
✅ Faster sprint times over 5 m, 10 m and 20 m
✅ Better repeated sprint ability
..experienced lower injury rates than their peers.

We don't just train athletes to perform better—we build the physical qualities that help them stay on the field, court, or track for longer.
Our coaching focuses on:
🔹 Strength development
🔹 Sprint mechanics and acceleration
🔹 Speed development
🔹 Power and force production
🔹 Movement quality
🔹 Long-term athletic development
Because the best ability is availability.

Build stronger athletes. Develop faster athletes. Reduce injury risk.

The First 10 Metres Build Champions
🏃‍♀️💨

Did you know that athletes reach approximately 60% of their maximum sprint velocity within the first 10 metres and around 80% by 20 metres?

For youth and junior athletes, this means the biggest opportunity for improvement isn't chasing top speed—it's mastering acceleration.

Developing acceleration through quality coaching helps athletes:
✅ Improve first-step quickness and reaction speed
✅ Create separation from opponents in game situations
✅ Build the technical foundation for higher sprint speeds as they mature
✅ Develop force production and explosive movement patterns
✅ Reduce injury risk through improved sprint mechanics
✅ Enhance performance across sports including soccer, rugby league, touch football, netball and more.

Building great movement habits early provides a foundation for long-term athletic development, increased confidence, and improved performance across all sports.
Master the first 10 metres. The rest becomes easier.

Why is acceleration so important for game speed? 👇

In most sports, athletes rarely reach top speed… it’s the first 5–20 metres that matter most.

That’s the difference between:
✔️ Winning a loose ball
✔️ Beating an opponent off the mark
✔️ Creating space when it counts

Acceleration comes down to how well an athlete can produce force into the ground—this is where lower body strength and power play a huge role.

In our High Performance Screening sessions, we assess exactly that.

Through sprint testing, jumps, and movement analysis, we can identify:
• How effectively an athlete accelerates
• Where they may be losing speed
• What they need to improve to become faster and more explosive

This gives athletes clear direction—not just to train harder, but to train smarter.

Spots for the next sessions are limited.

If you want your child to improve their game speed and overall performance, now’s the time to get involved.

The first High Performance Screening session is done ✅

And this is exactly why we do it…

Athletes came through, put in great effort, and more importantly—we uncovered some key insights into their speed, power, and movement mechanics that you simply can’t see without proper testing.

This isn’t just about running fast for a day.

It’s about understanding:
✔️ What your child does well
✔️ What’s holding them back
✔️ How they can actually improve

Each athlete walks away with a personalised report and clear direction—so their training has purpose, not guesswork.

Spots for Session 2 & 3 are now open, but numbers are limited to keep the quality high.

If you want your child to get faster, move better, and develop with intent… now is the time.
