#DoItForYourDog - Lure Coursing is a fun sport for your dog that will keep them active, healthy and unleash their enthusiasm to chase!

The Brisbane Lure Coursing Club is affiliated with Dogs Qld and holds ANKC Sanctioned Trials. In lure coursing, dogs chase an artificial lure (plastic bags!) across a field, following a pattern that is meant to simulate live coursing. A typical lure course in Australia is between 600 - 800m long. The course must have a minimum number of turns in order to simulate prey changing direction in a chase

An open, fast, flowing course today for the BLCC Sighthounds only event. A beautiful day for lure coursing, even had a greyhound come along for a trial run and it ran beautifully.
9 acres of flat ground is a great base for safe lure coursing, happy dogs and happy owners.
One more event to go for 2026, let's see all the LP owners come out and let your dogs have some fun.

Sunday 30 August - Lure Coursing Try Out and training runs for dogs 15 months and over. All Breeds welcome.

Check in after BLCC Sight Hound Lure Coursing trial approx 9:30am but would recommend arriving 9.15am. No bi***es in season.

Spots for 20 dogs only. Two runs per dog.

Entries to the 1 Aug BLCC trials closing Thursday 30 July at 9 pm. Judge for both sighthounds and lure pursuit is Sabine Mueller.

Lure coursing yesterday. Nice cool day for it, fast flowing safe course for the dogs, no slips, no falls, no broken string, happy dogs.
Well done to the BLCC for running a smooth event.
Sighthound course shown 800m, we shortened the course in the second event for the CA dogs, brought it in a little closer and down to about 700m.
Big thanks to the BLCC team and all the entrants and a special thanks to everyone that helped on the day.
