A huge good luck to our Combined Shamrocks / Cougars U15 Team as they take on their Semi Final this Sunday.

This team is a fantastic example of what can be achieved when two clubs put the kids first.

By working together, putting politics aside and focusing on giving players the opportunity to enjoy rugby league, we've seen something pretty special happen.

Not only did this combined team get on the field, they finished the regular season Minor Premiers and have earned the chance to play Semi Final football.

That is something every player, coach, volunteer and parent should be incredibly proud of.

Let's get down to Birchgrove on Sunday, cheer these young players on as one team, and celebrate everything they have achieved this season.

MELEE ESCALATION POLICY.

What is a melee?

A melee is any on-field altercation, push-and-shove, or fight between players.

As a player what do I need to do?

If an incident of foul play happens on the field, DO NOT become involved, walk away and retreat from the area. Allow the Match Officials to deal with the issue at hand.

As coaching staff what do we need to do?

Stay OFF the field, allow Match Officials to deal with the situation. Under NO circumstances should you go onto the field to remove players, pull players off others.

As parents or spectators what do we need to do?

STAY OFF THE FIELD. Allow the Match Officials deal with the situation in ALL circumstances.

As a Club what do we need to do?

Educate your players and coaching staff on the Melee Policy.

💜🏉 PLAY IN PURPLE – THIS WEEKEND 🏉💜

💜This weekend, the Carlingford Cougars are proud to join the Ryde-Eastwood Hawks, Ryde-Eastwood Leagues Club, and clubs across our district in supporting the Australian Pancreatic Cancer Foundation (PanKind) through the Play in Purple initiative.

💜Throughout the weekend of 1st & 2nd August, our players will be wearing purple socks to help raise awareness of pancreatic cancer and support vital research into one of Australia's toughest cancers.

💜Pancreatic cancer has one of the lowest survival rates of all major cancers, making awareness, research and fundraising more important than ever.

💜As a community club, we are proud to stand together for a cause that impacts so many Australian families.

💜 PLEASE HELP US MAKE A DIFFERENCE!

If you're coming down to Sir Thomas Mitchell Reserve (STM) this weekend, please bring along your loose change.

We'll have collection boxes around the ground, so if you're able to, please dig deep and throw a couple of dollars into the collection box. Every donation, no matter how small, helps fund vital research and support for those affected by pancreatic cancer.

When you see our teams wearing purple this weekend, remember they're playing for something bigger than the game.
