Last week presented some tough conditions with the variable Westerly but we enjoyed some great racing. We were unfortunate to have a slip up on the last downwind to the finish where we lost a trap line and snapped a tiller extension meaning we fell from 9th to 11th across the line. We're looking forward to coming back strong for the last race of the calendar year this Sunday.

It's been an intense start to the season for us after dealing with a few minor breakages whilst working hard to get the the branding done for our new sponsors Lazarus Capital Partners. Special thanks to Dale and the Lazarus team for their support. We'd also like to thank DeckHardware who are helping us keep the boat in top knick this season, and to Infinity Rigging for helping us sort through the early breakages.

The team is being led this year by Lachlan Steel on the helm, with Jerome Watts on sheet and Matt Doyle on the bow. For Lachlan, it's his first season in 18's after many years in 16 footers, whilst Jerome and Matt made their start in 18's 2 seasons ago, filling in for Dal Zotto and Lumix, and are returning from their first full season last year on the Ilve.

We came out of last weekend with some respectable results of 7th and 11th in the two races, which we're hoping to improve on in the last race of the Spring Championship this Sunday.
