And the answer is YES!

WE HAVE PLATYPUS IN OUR CREEK!!

The EDNA (environmental DNA) test confirms that we have a resident population of platypus. We are the only test site in the valley with positive results.

Do we have platypus in our creek?

Today we joined the CEN (Community Environment Network) and other community members in helping to find the answer!

Yadhaba farm was one of multiple test sites in the Wyong water catchment from which water samples were collected to determine if any platypus specific e-DNA could be found.

We will keep you posted with what is discovered in the lab!
